So many here helped me to understand about wooden lures and how to build them. It's only fitting that I pass on what I have found that works for me. I don't get on every day anymore, but I get on as much as I have time to, always willing to help. My best advice is to be open minded!

Sudd, these booths are for water base paints. Thats where you come in, you need to know what fits your needs. So many buys without reading up on what they are looking for or asking questions like you are doing. I'll tell you about something pretty slick that one person did in his booth too. This guy put thin aluminum sheets inside of his booth. This is for clean up in overspray that doesn't get out the exhaust.

I think I got this from Tackle Underground years ago? It works pretty good. Thanks to whoever posted it.

And we haven't even mentioned the environment and the requirements to meet building codes. Meeting Codes make it possible to collect insurance when you burn something down.

Bunch of hippies... I use a 120v base board heater thermostat (Floor thermostat). I hook the light right in line with the thermostat so the thermostat controls when the light is on and off. simple and effective. If you are using a halogen, just make sure it is far enough away from any of the baits, and if the bulb were to break, what ever is around it wont catch on fire. Halogens produce way more heat than other bulbs, so be careful.

I ended up molding a lot of cranks (bass) and mainly used 2 part polyurethane foams (16 lb density). Many have used the foams for tooth critters also with out any issue. Mainly used US composites foam but did do some resins from Smooth-On. Doesn't take long and you can churn out a lot of baits. Unfortunately most of the tutorials or posts on how do things have been lost. Many were far superior to what one frequently comes across now. Typical RTV mold and foam lure. Still have a few of those molds over 11 years now.
