  1. Yeah I was kind of surprised by the burning. I've never really had a problem with LC's black grape.

  2. I don’t think there is a practical way to design lips without iterative testing and modification. Lips don’t work by themselves. They are attached to a bait and the whole assembly, its shape, weight, and balance determines how it will swim and how deep. The shortcut I use is to copy a commercial bait i like exactly, and then customize the copies one after another to get different and perhaps better performance characteristics. Going through that process will teach you a lot about bait design.

  3. I used lureworks violet 193 when i first started & thought something was wrong because my junebug came out a bright red color. I called Leonard ay baitjunkys because i was using the calhouns plastisol that he sold & thought something was wrong with the plastisol. lol He said it was the violet in it & that i was getting it to hot & to call him back the next day because it would be junebug then & it was.

  4. Sometimes, you just have to try several options until it all comes together. Drop-Out does work. Also you can try to gap the mold or like mentioned above scratch a vent line to relieve any trapped air as you pour. Glad it all worked out for you.

  5. Well I received my drop out spray and sprayed it on my mold. Tried to use the ladle again to pour the 1/16 oz weight. It did not work. I heated up my new Lee Production IV pot and tried to pour the 1/16 oz again. Long story short, it to me 50 minutes to finally figure out how to make a successful pour. I had to take the mold and make it flush with the bottom of the pot. Pours perfect every time. Thanks again for your alls help!
