  1. I'm guessing the difference is that your lures are not patented and The z-man lure is. It's just like the people who sell lures without paying the IRS. Some get away with it for years and other ones end up paying the IRS Large sums of money when one of their competitors turns them in. I hear you when you say you're not concerned about it but I certainly wouldn't be posting about it online. It's just not worth it to me to risk potential legal troubles that may cost you money. People are just trying to help keep you out of trouble.

  2. That has nothing to do with denting. Plastic expands when its heated, contracts when it cools, as the cavity cools it needs to draw in more plastic from the runner to prevent dents (why you see it suck down after injecting it). When the gate or runner freezes off (solidifies) before the cavity solidifies it has no way to pull in plastic and sucks in on itself. In other words it is a flaw in the mold design itself, it's always been an issue with that mold, from the day they released it. Whatever you are doing other than how you fill the injector (it's always baffled me why its been promoted to fill that way, seems like an accident waiting to happen) is helping mitigate the dents.

  3. In all honesty, small or large Shooting Star is more than likely what you are looking for. You're going to spend $2000.00 - $3000.00 to get one. Other than that to get into higher volume you're into $30k - $75k machines with large production molds ($8k+ each)

  4. I don't want to argue with Bassjiggin1955 and I'm not trying to start a fight. You said the president of Z-Man told you as long as you aren't advertising or putting them in stores you are fine. Guess what a picture on a website with an explanation that you have a business and it is word of mouth, is? If you said "advertisement" ding ding ding ding, you are a winner!!! There is a very skilled lure maker on this site who posted pictures of baits made with a direct blade to hook eye attachment on this site as well as others, can you guess what happened? If anyone from Z-Man reads this entire thread I will bet dollars to donuts you get a PM about it. As I said I'm not arguing with you as what you stated is true. However what you posted is in direct violation of what you were told. Sure, it isn't a direct advertisement but it is implied and therefore you are guilty of doing exactly what you were told not to do, just saying.
