Nitro Cellulose Lacquer is basically same as nail polish some stay clear when used as a top coat some dont they yellow over time some causes paints to "bleed" when used as a topcoat on lures

Dan have you tried with a round lip bit shorter than the one in pic ? If not try & let us know how it acts i bet it will get a wide wobble that will attract muskies&pike in the shallows

is it lure halves you are talking about? if it is you can put the halves so the pieces that fits together is submerged in acetone for 1-3 minutes press together &dip once or twice in propionate sealer

replace whole ring & wrap with new thread& cover with colorpreserver over thread the coat it couple of times with a thin coat each time

you can also use open screweyes &let epoxy go up the stem abit

acetone will vaporize before the epoxy is affected ,same goes for VLT both will evaporate before devcon is affected

how about using latex gloves? the gloves for chemical hazard use

it can be used as topcoat you´ll only have to match &heatset the paint you use pure prop can cause colors to bleed

The thinner must be virgin laquer thinner otherwise you´ll just end up with a blob on the bottom .If you use the pellets i got you can use acetone to disolve the pellets& acetone will make the plastic cure harder ...

either dip or brush on vaseline on the screweyes and use a needlenose pliar to clean them out by twisting jaws back&forth

remove both hooks put a treble on a good snapsviwel by adding a splitring attach snap on first hook eye this setup is similar to a salmon setup on a J-plug &lets the tail swim more freely with erratic motion & the fish wont have any leverage to use since the sviwel will bend freely the treble should reach just behing the tail
