Actually, I drew up some plans for one similar to that one about 20 years ago that used 10-inch PVC pipe for pontoons and had a plywood deck. I just never built it. Gene

Thanks to all of you for your info & help. I bought a new Tracker 175 a couple of months ago and found that the curved rails around the boat would not allow the suction cups on my blacklight to adhere to them. I needed to replace the light so, I decided to buy the Night III's from Bass Pro. I bought two units to replace my fluorescent light. I used them last night. I don't think that they put out quite the amount of light that the old light does but it is sufficient. I also love the small size which makes storing them a breeze. Troul Hawk, Thanks for the offer to "take me out and let me see for myself". If the offer still stands (even though I've already bought new lights), I may very well take you up on it. I'm thinking about buying an LED blacklight and was wondering if any of you have any "product reviews" that you'd be willing to share. Are they worth the money or should I just stick with my old fluorescent light? Thanks for any info that you might have. Gene

To get a nice smooth "crown" on your lead you will need an anvil and a setter. Your anvil can be any soft piece of metal such as brass, copper, aluminum, etc. Take a 1/4-in drill bit and just lightly drill a concave place in your anvil material. Not too deep. Just deep enough to "dish" it. Next, take a 1/4-in bolt and concave the end of it just like you did your anvil. Drill your hole in your lip, place your lead through the hole and set it on your anvil. Using your setter (bolt), take a hammer and flatten your lead. Makes a nice, smooth dome. Gene

Splash2, I live in Smyrna, just southeast of Nashville. Basically, all-thread (threaded rod) is a long bolt with the head cut off of it. As JBlaze stated, you can find it in the nuts & bolts section of Lowe's, Home Depot, or TSC. BTW, make sure to inspect it for any flat spots in the thread. They will show up on the foil and ruin your scale pattern. Gene
