  1. The Alumilite UV top coat is still in development ...I'm been asking about it for a year on their website...They haven't posted any updates on it for several months so I don't know if they have dumped the project or not...Nathan
  2. I think you are right on the money Mark!..Nathan
  3. http://tackletour.com/reviewicast14luckycraft.html Here is a peek at Lucky Crafts new baits this year..The one with the blade is interesting!!!..Nathan
  4. I remember that one you built was nice Dave..Nathan
  5. I'll take a look..Thanks Ben..Nathan
  6. I took a peek ( on line)at the ones mentioned...They maybe too big around..I was thinking more of a senko diameter with a curly tail ?...Nathan
  7. Thanks for the fast replies guys..Thanks Chris!!..Nathan
  8. http://flymenfishingcompany.org/products/fish-skull-products/fly-tester/ Came across this..They will retail around 285.00..Nathan
  9. I'm working on a hard bait frog called the topless frog.I'm using two owner hooks and rigging them weedless in the" legs" I've been using a Kalins 3" grub but I need more bite from my hooks.Does somebody make a fatter worm I can use for the legs.I need a bit more length but less diameter of the grub..but fatter than the standard worm..Thanks ..Nathan
  10. Beautiful job but you need to put it in the gallery...Nathan
  11. If your getting sticky baits using Devcon2Ton epoxy you probably aren't mixing it well enough.Devcon is pretty forgiving compared to most when it comes to ratios...( you need to be close) Mix it well from the bottom and sides...I'll then add a few drops ( from a eye dropper) of denatured alcohol to it and mix a bit more As for the temp...70 degrees should be just fine but a bit warmer couldn't hurt...Nathan
  12. I grew up in Ca....Does any one remember the "velvet" paint jobs of the late 60's-early 70's?.. The cars looked like they were painted with velvet.I have no Idea how it was done..apparently it didn't wear well...The trend died off fast !!...Nathan
  13. Ben..that brought back memories!!!..lol..Nathan
  14. Lol.. How true !!!.. Nathan
  15. Thank you for the info Saltshaker...Nathan
  16. I actually like the Idea of a hard body frog..I'm working on one myself...They won't fill with water..They cast a mile and defiantly make a heavier foot print for the bass to follow when dragging it over the slop....Mark...I'll join you in that jaunt up hill.....Lol!!!!...Nathan
  17. Coley has truly mastered pouring baits.I've been lucky enough to see him work several times through the years...I'd listen to every word he says...Nathan
  18. Saltshaker..how are you using it?..dipping,spraying?..I've heard great things about this stuff but had no Idea it was a MCU....Nathan

    Screw Eyes

I Really don't know why you would need anything bigger than .092 SS...that is some tough stuff...I'm with Mark...The bait would fail before the eye screws would....Nathan
  20. They make a liquid called realistic water. It is used to make lakes etc. on train layouts.I've messed with it as a top coat.Dip and hang..It never gets really hard..It stays very flexible..Nathan

    Frog Eyes

Wayne, Google "Fish-Skull living eyes" They make some beautiful eyes..Most of your fly shops will carry them...Nathan
  22. I have the Hibdon model and really like it.A buddy of mine who pitches a lot of jigs loves his because it casts so much smoother.Mine hasn't given me any trouble...I'd buy another one.Funny thing though....The maker is called US real ...But I think the parts are made In China and it is assembled in the US....Nathan
  23. I have used a lot of these products to add a flashy center line down the sides of my hard baits. With a small brush lay a stripe of minwax polyacrylic down, then lay the flashabou, or similar product down.Allow to dry then top coat as usual. It gives you a great flashy effect...Nathan
  24. I'll expect my check in the mail Salty...lol..but you are right..It really pains me to write my check to the IRS every 3 months...Most of these guys who operate like this learn quickly how hard it is to make any money and are gone in a few months time too have two spring up in their place...This Pebble Lures maybe legit..but their prices sure are cheap though...Nathan
