  3. We love seeing your work but pictures like these belong in the gallery...Nathan
  4. There are a lot of other companies other than Rapala building baits with a shifting weight system..Just about every jerk bait has it...Nathan
  5. If you guys do the math on Devcon ..180.00 is a bargin. The dual tubes are selling for around 5.00 dollars in hardware stores..If you buy it in the bottles you get a break but I still think it's way over 180.00 for a gallon..lol..Nathan
  6. Musky Glen, I like Musky Hunter too..just took out a subscription after a couple year break....But...back in the mid 80's there was a tackle tinkering magazine..I bought a couple off the shelf but they went belly up...I might still have those somewhere....Nathan
  7. Wow ..a trip to Cuba..That would have never been possible in my youth.Good for your kids!!..They get to get out and experience the world and all it has to offer..The world is truly becoming a smaller place...Nathan
  8. They have been around for ever in bass baits..I can't imagine there being a patent on that ...Nathan
  9. Wayne, Are you talking about a shifting weight inside the lure that shifts to aid in casting ?..Nathan
  10. The dipping is the biggest plus...dip, hang and your done...as for th 2-3 week cure time, that is when it maxes out...you can use them after about 24 hrs..There are several top coats that continue to cure for several weeks...Nathan
  11. Mojo, If you use good quality ss eye screws and epoxy them in they will hold just fine.(I've built many that way)I think we sometimes over build our baits!..lol..Nathan
  12. To my knowledge they do not have ballast in place or even drilled for eye screws.I'm not sure which ones your looking at..I know some don't even have lip slots cut and that can be a real pain to get them square in a preformed bait...Nathan
  13. Delaware, Welcome to the site.We love seeing your work but it needs to go into the gallery ..Thanks..Nathan
  14. Mark, Bob is right ..it dries in just a few hours.I dipped these eyes in the morning and then top coated with Solrez later in the day... Nathan
  15. This picture was taken in total darkness with a cell phone...look how bright those eyes glow. They were painted with one coat of Glonation unpigmented Phos Green glow paint...Nathan
  16. Great Idea Bill...Never used it on a crankbait but have used it fly tying on poppers..should work great for you..Nathan
  17. Use the flash from the camera on your cell phones...That will charge them quick!!..Just throw your coat over it etc. so you don't ruin your night vision or throw a flash over the water if your fishing at night...Nathan
  18. Gave the Tech. sheet a quick read and it is definatley worth trying. It offers UV protection, and is solvent based.I see where this one can be sprayed on...The Eagle Brand and Gst could only be rolled on...not that makes any difference if you plan on dipping..I didn't see what the solids percentage was though....Nathan
  19. Emory boards work well for shaping ...They have several styles avaible in the fingernail polish area...The flexible ones are real handy!!..Nathan
  20. I'm still playing around with it as a top coat but I will say it works great as a wood sealer.I submerge the lures for 3-4 minutes.Let them drip then hang to dry for a few days. This is a very thin product and it penetrates well..(which makes sense considering it's made to seal concrete!!)...Nathan
  21. I 'll third that ..Congrats to all !!..Nathan
  22. I believe the newbie now realizes he has stepped on himself here...I'm going to lock this one up guys...Nathan
  23. Reelentless, It looks great but I'm curious ...If you used Pine,Why not use eye screws instead of the through wire?...Usuall if you do through wire on Bass baits it 's because you've used a soft wood like Balsa.....Nathan
