    Frog Legs

Mark, It's funny this whole frog leg thing has come up..I've wanted to tie this pattern for sometime and had just started researching it again...Like Bill said, I bet you may get more " spring" in the legs if you use heavy mono instead of wire in the legs... Nathan
  3. Thanks Mark..I need to get a copy..lol..Nathan
  4. There is a small thin wire tied in the center of the bucktail. You wrap over it with your thread then make your bend... Nathan
  5. Travis, Where did you get that sanding wheel?..Is that in your drill press?...BTW...great how to post!...Nathan

    Frog Legs

If you google Messinger Frog you 'll find a incredible fly tied by the late Joe Messinger. The legs are tied from bucktail and actually kick when the fly is retrieved. You maybe able to modify that to fit your needs....Nathan

    Minnow Chaser

You may want to post a picture of it..I'm not familiar with that bait...Nathan
  9. Those hooks look really small for that bait...more substantial hooks might help...also..the bait looks very "tall"...that can add to it being unstable..Like Ben said..Cut down on the thickness of the belly of the bait and leave the top of the bait alone..This will make the top more buoyant and may stabilize it a bit...Al least that's what I've found with wood..Nathan
  10. Definatley a must have for any lure builders collection...Nathan
  11. Robbie, Can you post up a picture of it?...Nathan
  12. Well said Jerry... and man...you were spot on describing us back when we were just getting started.. Lol!!!..I owe you a lot my friend..Nathan
  13. Jerry and I had thrown around the Idea of "live how to" classes on the web. They could be open to questions..etc. just like a regular class. The topics that could be coverd are endless and could be archived for later watching as well...Nathan

  18. Did a bit more research...A-Macs product is also 25% solids...If I had to choose between what I bought or the Eagle Supreme,I think the Supreme maybe a better product for our use....Just my two cents..Nathan
  19. Definatley looks like A-Mac and I have two different products.Mine is: Eagle Gloss coat clear wet look solvent based acrylic concrete sealer....I Noticed A-Macs said it was oil based.....His maybe a better product for our use...I couldn't find the solid content on his....Mine is 25%...Nathan
  20. J...I noticed you said plexi glass....you need to use polycarbonate not poly acrylic .....Plexiglass will break very easily...especially in cold water...look for lexan ( a name brand of Polycarbonate ) or something similar.....Nathan
  21. Ok...Checked the wood blocks this morning...I may have spoke too soon on the reaction with enamel paint...this morning I noticed the paint ran on one side of the block only ....It may haven been the paint wasn't set all the way on that side....The other three sides of the block and the block sprayed with lacquer look great and are noticibly harder than yesterday .The instructions say this can be driven on in 48 hrs so it obviously hardens over time...Nathan
  22. Hey guys, I've had to get some orders done..sorry for the late report.I sealed up a couple small blocks of wood with Solarez and sprayed one with lacquer paint and the other with enamel paint. Both blocks were then dipped and hung.To my surprise Eagle didn't react with the enamel paint..(It seems anything with a solvent base reacts with enamel) I dipped both twice about a hour apart...This was all today...I'll checked the hardness over the next couple days...Nathan. PS.....Both have a beautiful shine to them!!
