  2. A-Mac, Mine came in the mail today.I haven't opened it yet but it sure sounds thin when I shake it...Nathan
  3. I'm with Littleriver...get a table top band saw..they are a lot faster.Stick your vacuum hose in the dust port and turn the vacuum on...it will be louder than the saw and will keep sawdust from blowing every where...Nathan
  4. We will see if Eagle holds up...for 27.00 a gal...it's worth a shot...I spent more than that for a quart of a top coat that didn't work...lol...Nathan
  5. I just orderd a gal. Of the Eagle brand sealer from Home Depot...shipping to my house was only 7.00 ....I will be using it on wooden baits...I'll keep you guys updated...Nathan

  11. You may want to post this down in the wire bait forum...This forum is for crankbait guys.....Nathan
  12. Tree, You've accomplished two of your three goals on your first baits.....Your having fun and you learned from what you did wrong....Your Third goal of getting your bait to swim the way you want will come in time.Don't be afraid to make those mistakes....Myself and all the other old timers here will tell you that you will learn so much more from your screw ups than your successes ....Nathan
  13. Mark, I'm sorry about the loss of your family member...I know how rough that can be...Nathan
  14. Mark, I use it to seal my wooden baits before the painting process and have never noticed any cloudiness ....and the times I have messed with it as a top coat it always came out clear....I generally use enamel paints over a laquer base...Nathan
  15. Moose , If I understand what Mark was saying you can recoat after a hour ..or so but when your done coating wait for the full cure time before using....is that right Mark?....Nathan
  16. I agree that letting the baits soak for 50 hrs is a bit extreme but it did teach us that prolonged exposure will soften it....Some guys leave their baits laying on the wet deck of a boat....It's good to know it might effect the top coat...Nathan
  17. I would suspect that Lowes or Home Depoy would have a similar product...Nathan
  18. Thanks Mad Moose...have you tried submerging a bait over night to see if it softens?....Just some stuff I throw at top coats when I'm experimenting...Nathan
  19. You may also look into clear water slide decal paper...Just get the correct paper for your printer..(Ink Jet or Laser)...Nathan
