The type of hook is a personal preference.I like Diiachi death trap hooks in the red color.as for size,You might try a 4 for the belly,and 6 for the tail...or just a pair of 6's.....Nathan

Hey Guys, I was contacted by a guy who fishes Clear Lake in Ca.. He wants me to build him some baits that resemble a bait fish they call a "Hitch".I did a web search and struck out on this fish.It must be a slang name.....does anyone know the proper name,or have a picture,or know what color they are?...Anything would help!!!!...Thanks..Nathan

Terry, The guys are right...weight,and it's placement is always a critical factor,but with thin flat sided baits like yours,it's 10 times more important..Nathan

Coley,...yep..I made it...I couldn't find any untreated Pine 4x4's so I had to use Cedar(what a mess...dust everywhere..and I had to wear a mask!!) A 4x4 on a lathe will beat the heck out of you...I'm glad this is the only one I have to make. As for the finish...The Devcon Gods will have to forgive me again(I couldn't afford that much 2ton!!)The finish is a urethane spray..Nathan

OK guys...yet another meeting yesterday!!..Things are moving along.The show dates are as follows...set up on Fri. oct. 1st...show all day sat. the 2nd,and half day on sunday the 3rd.A booth will be 50.00. Because the date picked is in the fall (I had nothing to do with that!!) a majority of the show will be hunting...Just wanted to give you guys a heads up..
