  1. Great looking baits Cody....Definatley spend the extra, and buy a good pair of pliars..it makes all the difference in the world...also,try using the heavy stainless split-rings...they are a bit more forgiving!!..Nathan
  2. I'll have a BBQ and we can lift a few barley pops and go to my shop and play in the saw dust...It would be a great time.....I'll sneak you guys out to some ponds I have access to aswell!!..Nathan
  3. I'm sending the guy who found the lure, and returned it a Assassin of his own in reward for his honesty..what a fish story..Nathan
  4. Just coming here to post..and find Coley waiting on me!!LOL!! The show is set for Friday Oct. 1st (set up day) the show will open on sat. the 2nd.They are still debating wether they will have it a half day on sunday. Booth rentals are 50.00...(that one surprised me..I guess our chamber is greedy) On the same weekend here in town they are having a art show in the square, and there is the annual bluegrass music festival the same weekend so there should be alot of people in town. At this point we are just trying to see how many booths we can fill.If you guys would be interested, let me know so I can tell the commity. As time grows closer,I'd be happy to help you guys with hotels...I'll besure to put all our booths in the same area...As thing progress,I'll let you know...anyone interested please speak up..Nathan
  5. Beautiful job Gene...I had a thought..(it doesn't happen often!!)instead of tranfereing it to regular paper, and fighting glue..why not transfere it to decal paper...I've transfered tons of stuff to decal paper...it works slick, and it is so thin, there are no seams to worry about, it forms to any contour and you can easily reposition the decal if need be..Nathan
  6. Congrats. Toby..she's beautiful!!...Enjoy them at this age...It will seem like tomorrow, and she'll be asking you for your car keys..Nathan

    Parafilm M

Coley, I've used it to mask areas to protect from over spray...It works great. You don't have to worry about pulling paint up with it.I was hoping to use it as a mask for paint patterns (stripes etc.) but I couldn't get it to work for that. You actually have to peel the paper off,and stretch it to activate it.It's actually a surgical product..Nathan
  8. CC..First let me welcome you to the board.I'm glad you decided to post. Those are some beautiful baits you have pictured. Those wrist rocket bearings work great.I've used them in channels on the inside of my baits to aid in casting long baits...the channel allows the bearing to shift front/back like you described. I see you live in northern Cal....I grew up in Modesto,Ca....Nathan
  9. Hey guys, Our first planning meeting is set up for the Feb. 23rd..I'll keep you guys updated..Nathan
  10. Congrats. Hoosier,I'm with Skeeter...If he isn't happy...he's crazy!!!..Nathan
  11. If all else fails on the Lexan, check at glass shops..(auto glass etc.)..Nathan
  12. Trick Trout, I think you may have a promising career ahead of you...Your bait is great. I don't want to sound like your parent here....but besure to keep up with your school work, and in college, major in marketing...that will help your business...I say this because I'm lurning marketing the hard way!! How does your bait swim?...Nathan
  13. Well,I have to admit,you had me too...I first thought it was a guy,then your dog.....Never thought of a sweat shirt!!!..Well done!!!..Nathan
  14. The petrolum jelly(spelling?) is a good idea so is the saran wrap..as for finding the clear plastic dip..janns netcraft carries it...we use to have a coast to coast store that carried the stuff aswell as the spray on version..Nathan
  15. Art Brush..Have you done this method before with plastic dip?....I've used plastic dip before on jig heads, and used the spray on version to coat crankbaits..(experiment)....this stuff is TOUGH!!!..I don't know if you can get it off..or off in one piece to use as a stencil...Let me know because it is a great idea!!..Nathan

    BIG Hooks

Little Sal, I don't know about fly hooks, but if you need trebbles,I can help you out...They use 10/0 trebbles here for snagging.....you might want to check with some saltwater fishing sites...Nathan
  17. I'm a firm believer in eyes on lures.....If nothing else,I fish a lure with more confidence. When I tie streamers, they always have eyes, and I think I catch more fish with them I read somewhere, that they believe fish use the eyes on their prey to help determine the direction the prey is moving, and how they are going to strike....Nathan
  18. Hi guys...I don't post down here much, but I thought I'd give you guys a good laugh....Check out the top of page 212 of the knew bass pro master catalog....a buzz bait with a 18" arm!!!!...Bill Dance will put his name on anything!!..Nathan
  19. Cody, I put dressed trebles on about 99% of my cranks. It gives the fish a little more movement and flash to look at.I've never noticed where it effects the action of the bait at all..Nathan
  20. Thanks Bassnator...Is that a olive color on the back?.. Jed, The head is made of wood, and rattles. The body is made of Icelandic sheep wool, and different colored flashabou for accent.Ther is a thin wire shaft that runs through the bait to the back where the second hook is attatched. It looks funny in the picture, but when wet the body takes on a fish shape. The bait has the mechanicle motion of a cranbait, with the natural flowing motion of fur...you can't replicate that with a typicle jointed bait. Too be honest it hasn't sold well....YET..it's too funky looking!!..Nathan
  21. Hey Jed...thanks for your vote of confidence...look at my first responce at the top of the page..Nathan
  22. Jed,I think they are talking about that multi jointed job they have out...at least thats what I was talking about...Nathan
  23. Hey everyone...Ken has a birthday this weekend....Besure to type really big so he can read it!!!LOL!!!! Happy birthday my friend...Nathan
  24. On baits I attatch soft plastics too,I add a small wire shaft to slide the plastic on too...then a drop of super glue on the shaft and back of the bait, and slide it into place...Nathan
  25. I layed a # 12 adams dry fly in front of it...I swear I saw it move for it!!LOL!!...Great job...Nathan
