  1. That would be a blast if the 3 of us could hookup and float the merced.Merc.,did you work for Gallo when you were taking care of cattle? Thats the only area I've ever seen that had blacktop lanes in the orchards.Must be nice to have that kind of money!!..Nathan
  2. I'll forward your question onto jerry, and we'll see if we can't get this worked out..nathan
  3. Al,I'll definatley take you up on that.Mercury,A buddy and myself use to leave a vehicle a few miles below Snelling, then drive our other vehicle to the park in Snelling and put our float tubes in on the Merced. We'd pick a few Trout up around the park, but the further down stream we'd get we would start picking up Smallies, and a few large mouth. What a kick!! And the float in the tubes was half the fun!!!!..Nathan
  4. Hey Al,what river was that taken on,remember I'm from your neck of the woods..Nathan
  5. Spookman,I also purchased a copier for my craftsman lathe. The instructions for use leave alot to be desired, but with alot of trial and error I figured it out.I have found the more I use it,the faster I become.I agree with you that it probably is faster to turm lures without it,but we loose in not turning out exact lures..Nathan
  6. Looks like it would make a great panfish or trout lure.Good job..Nathan
  7. Great job, those have muskie, and walleye written all over them..nathan
  8. Thats the truth!!..Nathan
  9. Merc. I would stress what makes your products different, and better than whats already on the market. If your prices are higher than a similiar mass produced item, explain the personal touch given to each lure. Don't make any promises you can't keep, or claims you can't back-up. If your going fishing with the writer,or atleast going to meet with him, take a mass produced similar lure, and show him the difference.Doing this the writer can put it in his own words, and give some what of a testimonial with realizing it!!..Nathan
  10. I tie with bucktails too.Another fun hair to Tie with is icelandic sheep hair. it's softer than bucktail, and has a action similiar to maribou, but alot stronger..nathan

  19. I have the same problem on occasion,I think it has to do with the twist this material has.I don't know how you attatch yours, but I always double mine back on it's self. You only need half as much material, but get twice the effect. It seems to give it a little additional strenght too..Nathan

    Epoxy

Hope you guys don't mind me jumping in here, but I've found with thread raps I'll use a little head cement(finger nail polish) over the top of the thread. This soaks into the thread well and binds everything together. Then I'll use a tooth pick and run a coat of devcon around the wraps to protect them from being chewed up.I just hang them to dry. There isn't that much epoxy on the threads to sag..Nathan
