    Help

Grading helps, but as a former cabinetmaker I'd recommend you ask for domestic also. Domestic has less ply's and us usually more dimensionally stable. I've seen alot of import ply that warped like a potato chip. What is the application for? maybe that would help solve what you actually need. All my contacts are in Florida but Google: McEwen Lumber Quality Plywood Specialties Inc. Forest Products Inc For any price break, a FEIN will usually be necessary.
  3. Gonna go ahead & close this topic............we all know where this is going. As per site rules, take any issues with customer service to the respective manufacturer. Del has a forum specific for customer inquiries....suggest to take advantage of it there. Thank you.
  4. Short answer is that we're all waiting for a water clear castable plastic that's comparible to high impact thermoplastics used in mass production. Smooth-on came close with a castable urethane, but requires serious ventilation and heated post cure after demolding. Most of us stick with polycarbonate/lexan sheet stock, if compound angles are needed, "Hazmail" made a great writeup here about forming lexan. If you need a compound thickness, you might try a clear polyester resin, but in my personal opinion it's too brittle really depends on the lip/bill itself. Good luck w it.
  5. "View new content" search is dependent on your location....... if you're in the gallery VNC will search new images, if your on the homepage VNC will search for new pages, if your on the forums VNC will search new posts & so on..... its intended behavior. If you want to search for new forum posts without visiting the forum, then like Ben said, bookmark a direct link such as: http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums Or make the extra click, or even take advantage of our RSS feed to see new posts without even visiting the site.
  6. Notice I quoted you also, so there was 2 separate notification flags that should have been tripped. That is definitely an issue because your notification settings are all correct. I'll run it by the developers and see if they are aware of the issue. Sorry for the trouble, Thanks Dieter, we'll get it fixed for you.
  7. Dieter, I "think" that if replies are made while you are on this site, TU will attempt to notify you via a small "popup" window, or whats now called an "inline notification". If your notification are set to your preferences and you didnt get a topic reply email while you were Not on TU, then that is an issue...... let me know if it continues and I'll check your personal settings. Thank you, I'm all for speed too..... we've seen earlier versions c r a w l, a few times, admittedly were my own fault with over-customization. The guys who write this software have been intentionally stripping out lesser used items (notice no calendar anymore?) and they've made a conscious decision to rely less and less on images. There is a timer on the bottom of the site labeled "Exec. Time" (Execution Time) is how long it takes to serve the page. Any more than a few seconds is a problem. The page I'm adding this reply on was:Exec. Time: 0.9968 (Almost 1 second) but it is 2 o clock in the morning Network speed and the time it takes to your browser and render are some of the issues I cant control, but if speed in general becomes a problem, rest assured I'll make efforts to speed it up. I appreciate all the comments, Jerry (redg8r)
  8. Hi guys, Sorry for the trouble, there was indeed a problem with the gallery and one fix has been applied: http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/22927-posting-in-the-gallery/ Please give it another try and if you continue to have problems, let me know. thanks, Jerry "redg8r"
  9. The bug that was putting out the following error has been fixed: I successfully uploaded an example image to the gallery under a normal member account: http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/image/9030-gallery-upload-test/ (image will be removed shortly) Any further problems, let me know. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Jerry "redg8r"
  10. We will give animated gif's a try, if they remain tasteful, why not? I've stripped alot of un-useful functions for a trade-off in speed, but of course my definition of "un-useful" is subjective. After all bigger issues have been addressed we can re-apply some of these items & if they help you here, again, why not? Tackle Tutorials haven't moved: http://www.tackleund...tted-tutorials/ still located in the forum, I can add a direct link in the navigation menu if that will help. EDIT: Sorry, glossed over the spell-check question.... Are you saying you had your own version of spell-check that worked in our old text editor & it no longer works? if so, sorry, but the new one has a built-in checker. right-click on the red underline and choose the correct spelling. There is an icon in the top left of the editor that lets you toggle the editor on & off. maybe turn it off and your own spell check might work again? That photo is probably older than I am, & one of my favorite avatars, had to fix it 4 you. If I missed anything so far, let me know. I'm off to another thread to look into possible gallery issues.
  11. I found the old avatars & reinstalled them for everyone who was missing one, I repaired yours, should be good to go now, sorry for the trouble.
  12. They are, finally... myself and many others voiced our concerns over navigation issues in the previous version, squeaky wheel finally got some oil Still needs refinement, but hey, I can work with this.
  13. Related: This option has been available for awhile, but worth mention, I've attached a pic of your notification icon in the member bar (atop the site) this icon links to a popup that contain all notifications you're subscribed to and will highlight when new notifications are sent. The email icon (to the left of arrow in pic) will also highlight when new private messages are received, along with a pop-up notification for those who choose that setting.
  14. Both ways work, your method is easier if a link is not handy.... thanks for the assist Here is a direct link to your notification panel it's located under "Your Username >> My Settings >> Notification Options" I've setup defaults for everyone that should do the trick, but if you would like tailored control of exactly what and how you are notified, use the link above to setup your notifications. FYI - For those with facebook-linked accounts, there's additional options to get notified via mobile text message.
  15. Hi Diemai, Heres a direct link to your profile panel, look for button labeled "Change your photo..." Much effort has been taken to make everyones personal settings easier to use. I've noticed the lack of notifications also. There has been a LOT of new notification settings added, I may have missed one. Let me check on that for you.
  16. This post is in IE v8 and pasting appears fine also. Yes, that was addressed also, I personally use OpenOffice and Google Docs so this is a welcome change along with the "auto-save" feature.
  17. OK, confirmed w/ FireFox 6.0, Chrome doesn't seem suffer this issue, I'll try Internet Explorer next Like you said Bob, overall, it's a minor issue, albeit annoying nonetheless. There are a few handy functions/icons up in the text/wysiwyg editor that allows copy/paste and insertion of links and images/media. I think we'll leave it as-is for now but will report the issue to the developers and see if its being addressed. BTW - The warn status, should be labeled "warn meter" is just a bar used by the moderators for infractions. If yours is empty, no worries then It's been here awhile, just now public instead of internal.
  18. Care to elaborate? exactly what "stuff" have you tried already? & what results did you like or dislike? As for molds, My opinion is that the designs wouldn't change much except for the obvious size. A custom mold that size would carry a musky sized price tag, particularly multiple cavity ones. Equipment is sparse for dipping 9" tubes but have you tried the "horizontal" method introduced by Bojon discussed here on TU? That would be my first attempt. Good luck.
  19. Ok, I'll go check the hardbait forum in particular but wanna try and duplicate the same error here. Also, what browser are you experiencing this with? I'm gonna copy and paste this text here so it will read twice: Ok, I'll go check the hardbait forum in particular but wanna try and duplicate the same error here. Also, what browser are you experiencing this with? I'm gonna copy and paste this text here so it will read twice: Hmm, just to make sure, are you using the "right click" menu that (normally) appears to copy and paste or are you using keyboard shortcuts like "ctrl+c" & "ctrl+v" ? I'm gonna go try the same in the hardbait forum, but let me know which browser your using and I'll try that one also. Good news is, that we have about a half a dozen different text editors available on TU, so if indeed this one is buggy, we'll swap out a new one. Thanks for the feedback, Jerry
  20. Hi, What kind of "trouble" you having? did you receive any error messages, etc? Let me know, Jerry
  21. Hi All, First off, thank you for your patience while the site was updated, I know many of you prefer not to have change, but this maintenance is an effort to improve administration and registration inefficiencies with the existing system that comes with a side benefit of improved member/user functionality. Please note that we are not 100% complete, the site has been re-opened to allow use but some small cosmetic changes will continue over the next few days while the site remains live. Changes that affect our member base: Previous use of separate "avatars" and "profile photos" have been merged back to a single member "photo" to avoid confusion. During the merge, some were sadly lost, if this affects you, feel free to add a new one via your "profile page". The use of "signatures" have been restored for all members, existing signature rules apply. Improved searching and sorting as requested by members. You can now search and sort by day, week, etc. and create your own custom filter to sort content however you prefer. Internal "Like" system, When you choose to like any content, your name appears alongside it, along with any other users who liked it and also allows you to follow or "favorite" content without having to reply or subscribe to it. Tags have returned upon request, tags are a powerful way of categorizing all kinds of content with keywords, making it easy for others to find all similar content. New rich text editor. Auto-save draft in text editor "auto-saves" your post in case of bad connection or power loss. Never lose your long-winded posts again. New Shared Media feature makes it simple to share your content/photos in other parts of the community - anywhere the text editor is used. Share gallery albums in forum topics, or a forum attachment in a comment, and much more. Your Shared Media popup shows all sharable content the user has posted before, and is searchable too. Inline photo cropping and rotating of uploaded photos. Rarely used "Chat room" removed indefinitely. Questions or comments welcomed, again, thank you for your patience over the weekend. Jerry "redg8r"
  22. We will be performing a site upgrade through Sat, Aug 27th. and Sun. Aug. 28th. This is an attempt to correct increasing login issues with members who have their password reset or emailed to them and seem to get stuck in a perpetual verification loop. The maintenance will require a software upgrade which also requires a new "skin" so the look and feel will change but we plan to emulate what we currently have and plan to keep the changes minimal. Any comment or questions, feel free to contact me directly. Jerry "redg8r"

    Nice clean work!
  24. Since you're doing the offset drive, I'd like to tinker with a direct drive option. Going from your recommendations, a stepper with some sort of shaft coupler. For this wheel we want to control: on/off speed (rpm) runtime Correct? Once you've sourced a display, pass us a link. That's about the only component I'm completely unfamiliar with.
