  1. When I was looking into an automated process I found something about it . From what I remember they added a bearing type assembly to the arm that would hold the keys as it could be rotated . As for the blade it could be converted to a small blade as for a versa pack saw , I do know they said with any blade it could only take small amounts of wood off on each pass . Cant remember what site I saw it on . It was neat but coulnt do very big lures .

    Help!

Yes many many people have not recieved stuff from there . The guy that made the video is Blake Gills , his web site is www.blakegills.8k.com . He worked with the other site making the video as he is the one in the video , so he should be able to help you out , I would hope anyway . As for airbrushing if you need any help just give a shout as there are several outstanding a-brushers that frequent this site .
  3. 5 Minute devcon - I use for holding stuff quick , Eyes and stuff like that , an extra pair of hands . Not for water proof things . Devcon 2 ton - I use for attaching lips and hardware . Still will use if clearcoating a lure or 2 , just doesnt have the working time I need when do alot of lures at once . My favorite for attaching the harware after painting . Flexcoat - I use this 95% of the time for the final clearcoat . Working time lets me do 15 or so lures with out mixing every couple lures . I let turn on my wheel for 6 or more hours . I let harden for a day and a half before I add hardware . Envirotex - Working time is VERY long . I dont use very much cause its to runny for me . I have clearcoated 40 lures with the same batch in one sitting . Long cure time . There is NOT one better than the other , whats works is what works . I think the longer the cure time the longer the little bubbles have to get worked out . I know you can blow on them but that gets to be time consuming when you have all the other lures looking at you waiting there turn to get a ride on the drying wheel . Working enviroment make a big difference also , temp , humidity . I have a 500 watt work light I mount to my drying wheel and let the lures set up for an hour or so and turn it on . I think it helps , but the lures like being in the spot light anyway . I find adding glitter makes it set up a bit faster , I think . The most important thing !!!! Dont use your wifes good bath towel to wipe the epoxy off your hands if you happen to make a mess . It hardens and puts a hole in it , and when she finds it hiding in the corner It WILL cost you a day with the inlaws !!
  4. Those pin drills will get your finger ! Thats what I use for most of my pre-drilling . I use the drill press for centering my eyes and bigger holes
  5. These are some Unique ones from the farm . The pike one is 18" , I used flex coat epoxy , what a treat for my drying wheel , This guy has to wiegh a pound or so . There are many more pics of these on my site . Please feel free to enjoy . http://www.funnyfarmtackle.com/page/page/694918.htm
  6. I talked to a guy that had one that painted jigs and he said it was the only way to go when doing quanitys at a time. He does hundreds of jigs .
  7. Thats a good question . They are somewhat hard to find as they arent really sold in stores . You can get them on the infamous ebay every once in a while . I have a few sources for them if you cant find any let me know I will get a price for you . Generaly 3.50 - 5.00 a pair .
  8. Well I am late on this one , All of the above are great !!! Milk jugs are nice and thick , just about or the same thing as the heavy stencil sheets .
  9. Click on the powerpak banner to the left , they have sweet prices . I called and told them I am from TU . They sell the equipment and also they can do custom packaging also . I did a seach on the internet and found a couple places that sold clamshells for about 10 - 25 cents a piece .
  10. I have been to the patent office many times only to find the "new" tool I designed was patented in the early 1900's . My patent lawyer likes me , I have helped him put his kids through college for all my " great " ideas .
  11. Yes the cool guy is good . I have bought several hundred feet from him .
  12. I do hand painted and stenciled , I like both depening on the lure .
  13. I have some that are four blades , they are actualy 2 pieces .
  14. I get burnt also . I always love airbrushing but putting the hardware on the lures is what is hard to get myself to do . I have 50 or so lures that need hardware put on them , but no rush cause they arent moving real fast yet . I actualy worked on my house yeasterday , the wife almost passed out when I was on a ladder putting more lighting in the kitchen and not locked in the basement .
  15. Thanks . I bought the eyes at a local craft store.
