  1. I don't know how to do it, but I'd like a tackle box full of that pictured bait. LOL
  2. Correction......I guess there are and my old brain is playing tricks on me again. LOL Message sent.
  3. I believe Curt cleaned that up as I don't see any duplicates now.
  4. That wouldn't be wise. Many members on here are still waiting on orders up to a couple years ago. If you must have that mold, try contacting them first. If no luck, I'd back off.
  5. I'm not really understanding the reasoning behind them, but they DO look awesome!
  6. Ditto. I just used old MF gallon jugs.
  7. See.....now they didn't have silver hi-lite when I poured. LOL But yeah......I don't see why it wouldn't with a very, VERY light smoke.
  8. I'm guessing other silvers won't work because they will be too dominant and the bait will not have a clear look to it. If you don't have minnow silver, maybe try a very light smoke.
  9. I used Lure Craft's minnow silver for that one with small black and gold flake. If you go that route, minnow silver needs to be mixed a bunch as the glitter will separate from the color. Also, if you're adding salt, it will make the bait more opaque looking. Hope this helps
  10. You'll need to add some heat stabilizer when re heating often, especially for temperamental colors like chartreuse. Most places who sell plastic will also sell stabilizer. I used to set a couple gallons aside with added stabilizer. A little goes a long way; about one ounce per gallon is all that's needed.
  11. Yeah there are many shades of red that weren't available when I poured. Lure Craft's strawberry worked for me, but cherry red sounds like a winner too!
  12. I don't think those others would work because you want it to be an iridescent look. The blue needs to be ever so faint. With the hi-lite, it reflects off the sun and looks really nice in the water. If you've never used hi-lites, you'll be blown away by the effect. Just remember a little goes a long way.
  13. I poured wearing a tank top, shorts, no gloves, no safety glasses, no respirator, and very little ventilation..........and yet I'm still here to talk about it. Still though.......probably don't wanna go my route. LOL
  14. Black for the back and for the bottom, try strawberry or a very light red with a touch of blue hi-lite.
  15. The transfer method worked for me. As mentioned, make sure you mix that 5-gal. bucket LIKE CRAZY, then transfer into 1 gallon jugs. Depending on the plastic, you should just be able to shake each one from there.
  16. We all have our own way of doing things, and that's okay. I'm sure some of my methods would have been thought of as absolutely ridiculous, but it worked for me. As long as it works for YOU......that's really all that matters. I haven't made a bait in years, but I still get a kick out of everyone's input.
  17. Evidently so! LOL At least I know if I ever get the "itch" again, I'll have several to try.
  18. Absolutely LOVED LC's minnow silver because it worked so well with other colors (especially hi-lites,) but yes......needs to be mixed a ton too.
  19. I always had the same problem with LC's different chartreuse colors. Nice to know some things haven't changed. LOL All great advice, but if you've scraped all the color off the bottom, mixed vigorously, added the color BEFORE heating, and you still have the same problem, try adding a few drops of worm oil and mix again. I had to do this a few times with great results.
  20. Wow.....things sure have changed. There were only 4 of those when I poured! LOL
  21. Welcome, Roger. Great to have you!
  22. Agreed. I bought a 5-gallon of LC one time from a guy who said it had been sitting for about 10 years. Took a ton of mixing, but I got it to work!
  23. +1 Most all of my Florida customers ordered junebug like it was going out of style! Another popular color was Okeechobee Special. You can scroll down and see it here..... http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Big_Bite_Baits_Swimming_Craw_6pk/descpage-BBBSWMC.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAnuDTBRDUARIsAL41eDp1pC-9dTGMPrGOeMPUiaMIWxzQJufL2kZ224C_w1GT-csH8MVbXJgaAuUfEALw_wcB
