  1. Are you getting the plastic hot enough? I'd say it would almost be like water when pouring.
  2. LOL yup. The base color is black or dark smoke. As for glitter......wow........looks like a bunch of it. I'd say small red, green, silver, gold. and a touch of medium purple. My old mind doesn't work the way it used to and I'm probably missing something, but that's where I'd start.
  3. Here's one called "Honey Candy" http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_KVD_Fat_Baby_Finesse_Worm/descpage-SKKFBFW.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA78XTBRBiEiwAGv7EKu0NNaKecnyETbhRcem-d0AdSmOq_7BdDgwnOfjopKaI_RBkOG4USxoC8FIQAvD_BwE Oops......sorry......you have to scroll down to get to it, but it DOES look like an amber base
  4. Awhile back, we had a member asking about the center dot or "eye" of a salmon egg and I remember that being a really cool thread. Problem is I believe he was the only one doing them at the time. I know that doesn't help in the least bit, but hopefully someone else will chime in. Welcome aboard, and good luck!
  5. Can't remember who makes it or made it (Lure Craft?,) but they have a sweet potato color. Is that close?
  6. I'd try pouring hotter and slower before looking at it being a mold issue. As Anglinarcher mentioned, it could be a design issue ('specially if you made your mold out of LC's,) but I'd start with easiest first. Just my 2 cents.......
  7. I used Dip N Glo dye and never had a problem with dripping. That stuff is instant dry! http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Spike_It_Dip-N-Glo_Worm_Dye/descpage-SIDGWD.html btw.......stay away from the garlic scent. Nasty stuff!
  8. Yeah mine was different as it was RTV. Nice action. Sure wish I could have achieved that!
  9. Monte......I had a mold similar to that (it may have been the same one, but the tail looks a bit different,) but could never get it to swim right. Modify after modify after modify and I finally gave up. Curious to know how yours swims?
  10. I noticed that, too. Geez......hard to believe 2003 was THAT long ago!
  11. Everyone knows your story by now. I hope you get your molds or a refund some day.
  12. By "holding value," do you mean a helpful post here on TU? Because you haven't had one of those for months. July 15, 2017 to be exact. Between then and now, it has been nothing but Bob-bashing posts. Last time we had a Bob flare-up, you took something I posted entirely out of context. I sent you a PM apologizing for that (to which I got no response,) but here you are again jumping aboard the Bob-bashing train. As I've said many times before, I have nothing to do with Bob. Never purchased an item from him, nor do I intend to. From all the posts we've had in the past, it's pretty obvious that purchasing ANYTHING from Bob at this point would be incredibly risky. I think AWorley has all the answers he needs, but I will leave this thread open........for now.
  13. LC's minnow silver would be a great base color here. Add your blue hi-lite, glitter, and done deal.
  14. Welcome aboard, and ditto what Driftwood and wallyc14 said. LOL
  15. Look at the list of lure mold companies near the top of the page. Most of the mold companies also sell many other materials.
  16. Also looks like the top color is a dark smoke (not black) to make the glitter stand out more.
  17. Dawn is what I meant, not dove. Old mind. LOL
  18. I used to toss them in the kitchen sink, add some dove, work them around in the soapy water, and let sit on a dry towel for a couple hours. This is what I did "back in the day." There are probably easier methods now and hopefully someone else will chime in.
  19. If the picture I'm looking at is right, I think MF's pearlescent or Lure Craft's minnow silver would work for your base color. I can't really tell by the pics what glitter is used.
  20. My bank account was never fond of me making baits. LOL
  21. Welcome, and Happy New Year!!
