  1. Maybe it has something to do with humidity then because we don't have that problem. It gets VERY hot here, but humidity is minimal.
  2. I think this kinda depends on what part of the country you're from. Out here in the west, guys talk about a Yamamoto Senko being as hard as a rock. Personally, it's the hardest soft bait I've ever used (if that makes any sense.) Definitely not what I'd consider a limp noodle. lol
  3. Hopefully, someone can chime in who uses a tougher plastic. Personally, I don't see it working all that well. Salt will make the bait hard and heavy, 'specially the amount of salt needed to match a Senko.
  4. As Bob mentioned, you're gonna get a wide variety of answers here as I don't think I've seen the same recipe twice! I used 1/3 popcorn salt to MF super soft. I think you'll have to play around with it until you find what works best for YOU.
  5. VERY cool!
  6. Another option is dipping a Q-tip in worm oil and lightly brushing the cavities. Works for awhile, but the process needs to be repeated depending on how much you pour.
  7. Good point. I assumed the plastic was mixed properly.
  8. Popcorn or powdered salt is another alternative. Shake your baits around in that stuff and you're good to go.
  9. It could be my monitor, but other than the blue flake, I'm not seeing any blue. I see smoke with small blue and gold flake.
  10. Running like a beast this morning. Thanks again!!
  11. Nice lookin' pour, btw. Hope you get the bubble issue resolved.

    Rootbeer.

+1 Pretty much every company makes a root beer.......unless you're looking for something in particular........in which case, a pic would help.
  13. I have noticed this too. Seems to be okay once you're in, but getting there is a problem. I clear my cache each time I shut down Mozilla, but the problem is still there.
  14. Congratulations to the winners.......and all participants. The talent here is OFF. THE. CHARTS!!
  15. Unfortunately, not really worth much. I used to dabble in collecting old lures. Can't remember the names as I'm not in front of my specs, but the top and bottom lures are most valuable.......IF they're in good condition. Nowadays, everyone is looking for mint or pristine condition in older wooden lures. You can toss out the Hula Popper as those come a dime a dozen, plus this one is missing the rubber end. Top one would be your best bet if it wasn't so badly cracked. Clean up the middle and bottom lures and they might be worth 10 - 12 bucks each. Best thing to do is clean them all up and get a nice display case. Now you have a really cool homage to grandpa. Just my
  16. +1 You should have much better luck with MF. I tried the saltwater formula from Lure Craft and had a miserable time with it.
  17. I was the dummy who poured in shorts, tank top, and no respirator.
  18. Lure Craft has tons of open pour swimbait molds. http://lurecraft.com/
  19. Completely missed that at first glance. Pretty obvious if you actually LOOK at the picture. LOL I was thinking color only. Good call. You guys are really good. btw......I never used a thermometer. I probably should have!
  20. Have you tried that color before with different results, or is this your first batch? Reason I ask is when I made junebug, I first used Lure Craft's purple and got that same look. I mean IDENTICAL.....but usually after a few reheats. Changed to black grape and boom.....problem solved. btw.....I removed your duplicate post.....the one with no picture.
  21. Honestly, I think it's personal preference. I tried the laminated bags and wasn't really impressed with them. Thought I'd try something different than 4 mil, and ended up going back.

    BTS Molds

People......we have been through this before. And before...... And before........ We get it now. Great molds: bad service No need to continue with the thread.
  23. Stabilizer will definitely help, but keep in mind small amounts. If too much, it will yellow your plastic and the stuff stinks pretty bad.
