  1. Man.....still not seeing a laminate. Looks like solid green pumpkin with small red and medium black flake to me.
  2. Yeah tough to tell by that pic. Doesn't look like a laminate in that shot.
  3. Cool......cool. I thought the login issue was resolved on my end, but now I have to type in my username/password each time. LOL. It's all good, though. I know these things will get worked out.
  4. They look like water dogs. Is mad tom another name for them?
  5. Hey.....it worked. Thanks, Curt!

    Fun Ride?

Whoa.......that's scary stuff. Glad those 2 are okay!
  7. My mind was on smoke blue pearl the entire time. I thought they may have changed the name. LOL
  8. Wally is right. MF's will work, but you need to mix the crap out of it and use a bunch. As mentioned, you can always use medium smoke with a bunch of blue hi-lite. Excellent color!
  9. I never injected, so I can't help you there. There are many members on here who do and are very good at it. Hopefully, some will chime in. Things have changed quite a bit since I poured. There are many more options now.........many that I never got a chance to try. I used MF Super Soft plastic almost exclusively, and added softener, hardener, salt, etc as needed. As for glitter and color, you will find that many companies vary. Most of my colors and glitters came from Lure Craft, with a few MF products tossed in. I have heard nothing but good about companies like Bass Tackle and Bait Junky's, and I'm sure those are well worth checking out too. You will learn as you go, hopefully not like me: by mistake. LOL
  10. IMO starter kits are a waste of money. I'd start with the individual molds, colors, glitters, etc. that YOU use. Over time and as you get better, you will buy more molds. It's the nature of the beast. This hobby is VERY addictive! lol As for plastic, again it's personal preference. You have a wide range of baits there........some that might require a more durable plastic. Keep in mind the softer the plastic, the better the action, but your durability will suffer. You might want to start with a medium and work from there. 400 bucks is a fair price and you should be able to get a good start with that. Just keep in mind that you WILL spend more! Good luck
  11. I guess it just doesn't like me. lol
  12. Now you just went and ruined my whole day. Thanks, Ben.
  13. Thanks for working on it, brother!
  14. Oops......sorry......forgot there was already a thread about this. DOH!!
  15. Always Mozilla, but I just tried the other 2 browsers (IE and Chrome). Same problem.
  16. A bit off topic.......and I didn't mention it earlier because it's not really a big deal........but I'm having to sign in twice now with each visit, even though I checked save password. Anyone else having this problem? Once I'm logged in, all is well.
  17. I probably should have mentioned that. LOL
  18. Another good point. And they will take longer with each pour as the molds get hotter.
  19. Okay.....my bad. Wait 30 minutes. LOL I never made a bait that big. The point is......... Yes.....you have to wait a bit between colors. The perfect amount of time is up to you depending on what you're trying to achieve. This is something you'll have to play with until you get it right. Once again, good luck!
  20. Wait about 30 seconds before the second color. There's a fine line between mixing, laminate, and cold cracks. Too fast and you'll get mixing together......like the problem you're having. Too long and there will be "cracks" in the bait. Sometimes so bad that the 2 layers will actually pull apart. You've gotta find that happy medium. Good luck!
  21. Best thing to do is contact them and ask about floating plastics. Also, many companies will send small samples to let you try before making your decision. Good luck!
  22. Nice......man you guys are good!!
  23. Again, you would think black color would dominate the glitter, but it doesn't. Go less on the color until you get it.
