  1. Hey Bruce, What would you use a huge swim bait for? Im aware of the grande bass down in CASITAS, and other lakes like it, But I havent seen anyone come close to needing (at least freshwater fishing) a bait that size anyway. Saltwater, yeah sure, freshwater,,,, Well, I can see more people use it to tell fish tales than as bait. Now did you actualy sell many of them Bruce? Or did they just sit on the shelf and collect dust?
  2. Hey Del, Have you got a final price on thoes? I know you were talking about them. But didnt have any made up YET..... Are they on your website?
  3. Hey guys, just got back from Gander Mountain, they also just got a large supply of d'em big ol baits in. Looking at them, A: nothing special, 1,2,and 3 color laminate pours. B, Hella expensive. the 14" (2 1/2 lb) was $17.00!!! Hook was molded into the bait as well as a wire guide for the addition of 2 more hooks. (not included) The hook looked to be about a 6/0 long shanked jig hook, Theese baits are NOT out of our ability range. They are flat top baits( can you say hand poured?) and do not have the detailings go beyond gill plates, eye socket, and wide flat paddle tail. Shoot its just a oversized swimming minnow/shad jerk bait. I was dumbstruck to find theese a verry simple bait, low detail and as per normal, harder plastic was used to mold the baits. The rainbow trout version has nothing more than large multi color flake glitter in the top 1/3 and a off white opaque belly. Just a FYI from what I seen.
  4. Well somthing else you can try is a pice of thicker metal between the burner and the pan, It will then dispurse the heat a bit more, But as for a thin walled aluminum pot, What about a aluminum measuring cup? They can be pretty common. and they will be in a larger size too. Wal mart, or any larger grocery store. Cut the handle down, cut a notch in a dowell, add skrews or small bolts and theres your heat proof handle.
  5. Dollar for dollar pyrex measuring cups. About 3.00 each a great pouring lip. and microwaveable. The microwave is faster, and you can wach the plastic as it flashes, and make sure it wont burn. BTW, what do you mean by ruining the pan? Is it just scorched? A wire brush on a dremel or drill will make quick work of it.

    Hi-lites

Hey guys that HI-LITE, is that a M-F product? or from JAN's Net-craft? I havent used either for the color, Usualy from LureCraft. Been having a problem with the LIQUID color setteling in the bottles. Even with mixing it didnt seem to mix up well.
  7. Ok Red, I added a few pics into the gallery. Man they look sweet on the slide show. Nice option. Anyway I have TONS more molds So if you are looking for a limited run of somthing I will check to see if I have it.
  8. expecialy if it was in 2 colors. Like a Blue/yellow, or other contrast color. But how much would somthing like that cost? Is there a manufacturer name?
  9. interesting idea, expecialy if its a 2 color pour. Can it work? maybe, but what is the heat range? Around 325-375 is acceptable. Can it be loaded after you cook and mix the plastic color? It could be a time saving idea.
  10. Ok for thoes of us that do fine pours and use a syringe, Are they glass, plastic or what? I have used the plastic one one time, Burnt the hell out of my hands, learned a lesson, and went in search of glass syringe as well as mechanics gloves( for the heat) For thoes of you that are thinking of using a syringe, USE HEAT RESISTANT GLOVES! ( Hot plastic will stick to your skin, and burn deep) One thing for sure. You WILL only do it ONCE! For thoes of you that dont know. the heat from the liquid plastic makes the plastic syringe too soft, flexable and unstable.
  11. I have a partial catalog made. 2 -3x the baits, styles etc. The baits look verry diffrent on this comp compaired to my home system. diffrent resolution and all. To keep from taking the bandwidth I will post more pics in the gallery. Thanks guys for the props!
  12. Ok here goes again. Ok, I was checking around, found out that it has to hit your height and width specs. It was not the actual size of the file that was the issue. I just rotated the pics, then all was fine. One more thing. It looks like only 1 pic can be added at a time.
  13. Shoot yes. Im always looking for a way to save a few dollars. But I wont sacrafice quality for it. Let us know what goes on. And also the shipping charges as well. Inflated shipping charges can make up for less expensive product.
  14. Ok, here is a few of the pictures of some bait. Some of you have seen them before. But as always comments are welcome. Im working on getting a high quality digital camera. The pictures just dont have the quality I want, and honestly dont due the baits justice in my opinion. Well it wouldnt upload the pictures. Here is a link. http://photos.yahoo.com/coollures
  15. What I have seen mostly is the added action from hand pouring. Injection does "look" pretty most times. But what I have seen and found mostly is the weak link where two colors combine. I have a friend that was utterly amazed when he seen a multi colored worm that was not going to pull appart where the colors meet. Injection plastic has a tougher, almost silicone like texture, It can work, But it is made to resist heat from the mold, Not to focus on the action and quality. It focuses on speed of production. Not to mention I love the feeling of landing fish on the lures I make. No greater rush in my opinion.
