If the bait you want already has a flat top on it or a semi rounded top go with a single piece mold, its cheaper. Ive made a few 2 piece jerkbait molds in 2 piece (like the 6sf with just a top) that way the customer could have his name in each bait he pours. For jerk baits I like 1 piece cause they are easier in my opinion to pour 2-4 colors. Delw

The logging problem is a user problem not a board problem,( unless the Cache on the board is not pointed to the correct dir. ,I found this out the hard way) the user problem you can fix like this. try clearing your cookies and temp internet files. then reboot. this will fix it 99% of the time. you can also hit "ctrl and F-5" at the same time to clear temp cache on your pc.(its like a refresh) it will help but only until your cookies see it again, tahts why its a good idea to clear cookies on a regular basis. Kids and fishing is one of my softspots. I have three kids and theyfish all the time, my oldest daughter started tourny fishing when she was 8. Here in AZ the Glendale dare tourny puts on a real tourny for kids and kids only, they get tons and volenterrs and alot of donations heres some pics from the last 2 events. we been doing it for 4 years now. if you have a cable or dsl line click the slide show. goto http://www.azbasszone.com then click on the azbasszone gallery, it should be the first album and 2 years are in there now. just click on the pics to see a ton of them. A guy that runs the tournamnets here in AZ does the weigh-ins, MOst adults dont fish for the kids with the exception of casting or untangling there line. Most kids use softplastics baits,, and cranks etc. very little live bait is used. Rich Stringer, John ramsey and the rest of the Glendale az police dept. host this event . If you would like to get an event like this started in your area post a msg on the forum to rich stringer or boat cop. Delw

Dark grey you can add it to the head of 2 piece molds by pouring up to a certain point then tossing in some of the tungstin and then filling up with plastic again. Bass dont care what color it is most of the time Delw

AT one time there was a guy who sold it on the internet. I added it to the head of the worm while it was cooling, the stuff is heavy and goes to the bottom on hot plastic. YOu can keep a little pan mixed with some of the stuff and just pour the head as well. Delw

WHat I like to use is tungten powder, (the garbage the sold to make tungstin weights) I use it in my worms when I am flipping the banks, this way I dont have to add weights, just take a worm out of the box and put a hook on it. I also dont have to change rods or set-ups when I want to swap to a jerk baits(soft) or a senko. I add it to the head only and the tail and body still have plenty of movement Delw

Sr, I dont beleive you pissed anyone off by posting what you did. One thing if the material is harder and comes out cleaner(shineyer) than the present lurecraft/ mf molds it will probally work better for them, as far as the silicon molds well you and I both know anything is better and far less cheaper than silicon. Bottom line like you stated with out a good master it will not work good as far as detail , nothing will ever beat a cnc mold as far as detail and consistancy goes and the exact same for all baits On a 2 piece mold I dont think anyone pouring a mold compound would be able to do it with out some mismatch. Ive tried the gelcoat and fiber glass ones useing marbles and pins and practically anything that would possibly work and the mismatch happends where in a cnc machine they are perfect everytime(if the program is correct) Using this material or anything else is faster then waiting on a custom mold from a machine shop and can be lots cheaper. the quality would be just like all other types of molding compound(except the finish and strength perhaps) Delw

Reaper, no offence taken. The mold looks real nice, what I am saying that if you dont have a good master the bait wont come out in detail like a cnc mold will. Delw

Nathan try some car dealer ships or auto repair places. When you talk to them dress nicely(emails and phone calls dont work) its just like a job interview. Also you might want to try boat dealerships marinas auto repair place's etc. it helps if you have a friend or 2 that works at a place as well. we got hooked up that way. It does fell kinda wierd having someone pay your entry fee, I still havent gotten used to it. Also what ever you do in public Dont go bad mouthing anyone even on an local internet board, sponsors dont like that. Its also very hard to get a sponsor to pay for entry's most sponsors dont mind giving out some product at a discount or even free but getting cash or a check is extreamly difficult. Good luck to you. My kid has used gummy worms and caught fish. A bass will eat almost anything thrown to it if its hungry or in an aggresive mood. I like some of he colors the gummy worms come in how ever they are a sticky mess in a boat full of kids, but on the bright side if you just gotta have a snack Delw

Bigz, they will never replace cnc molds. every bait you pour or inject over a cnc mold will be exact in detail and length with no over pour or sides to trim. these molds are pretty much like any molds that you pour over a sample bait.( fiberglass , gel-coat, water puddy, silicon etc.) If you dont have a hard master to pour off of no 2 baits will come out exactly alike. If you dont put the baits down perfectly they will be crooked. the detail will only be as good as the master in any mold that is poured or sprayed in. As far as 2 part molds they will be just like ones made with fiberglass or other resins mismatch will occur. They are some of the nicest molds Ive seen coming from a liquid that you pour/spray over already made baits, making ones out of gel-coat or fiberglass will give you the same results but these wont break when they get dropped. wacky and texposed is the best for me. Sometimes I will peg a mojo weight 3-4 feet up(but only do it on ones I add no salt to so they float. Pink and red are the main colors I use. Delw

Ive used as much as 1 cup of salt and 1/2 cup of softener for 1.5 cups of calhoun plastic. It verys on the sink rate I want and how soft I want them. Delw

I have quite a few shimano curados, And love them Ive had them for years and all but have needed no work. However I also been playing for the last 1-1-1/2 with a rick clunn. to me tehey are 2-3 times better than a curado with one exception and thats if you dont know how to thumb your reel you will get backlashs. They will out flip/pitch and cast a curado by 100% easy. and on top of that they are 69.00. Since you have abu's you will find them easier to use.. the nice thing about the curados is once you get them set up for the lure and rod and reel you DONT have to thumb them. but these clunns the bearsing are so good they just fly if you dont thumb them. Heres a link on some info I wrote up. http://www.del-mart.com/htmlfolder/info/reel.html Delw

In all fairness to lc I never had problems with them either. I have had 2 things put on back order and its gotten to me with in 2 weeks, which I thought was more than reasonable. Sometimes you have something in stock and then you get alot of people buying them out in 2 days and run out of stock. They are a good bunch of people. Delw

I am sure some people do but there is no reason to the salt will add more than enough weight, best advise is to fine grind the sand Delw

I am cutting them between custom molds( I ran out of stock for a bunch of custom stuff so had some time to kill ,waiting for material ). have a few cut just need to clean them up.,Have both the kalin type(k) and the yamamoto (y) type. Delw

Skeeter. I love the boat, its the 21 footer single consol. the boat is1997 or 96 21'11" long with a 200 on it. The front deck is longer than a gambler. its also a bigwater boat we take some big swells with it. its not fast by any means top at 62 but I can floor it through the roughest water and not be thrown around like a ragdoll. I worked on it for a buddy he ran into some rough times so I bought it from him. I paid a little more for it than I should have BUT it was in perfect condition and we helped each other out. I mainly got it so I could fish the bigger tournys on lake mead and mojave and also in CA clear lake and the delta Delw
