those lure bodies that you have in the store. the shad rap type do they have bbs in them? and the crank body's? are they deep divers?(deeper than 10 feet) if they are send me a paypal request for a lot of 5 on each one. I am going to be at the lake in the am(celphone works there) and the shop right after that. so I wont be home but my wife will be. Thanks Delw

    lee pots

No the pots are different, same style and everything but they have a different element and a thermostat. A lead pot will burn plastic fast. if you call lee they will sell them to ya but for about the same price or a tad hirer than lurecraft. Kurt when you stop at the house in the AM remind me I have a few here. Delw
  3. Bear. Thanks and nice talking to ya on the phone, glad you got everything worked out. Delw
  4. In order to have the skirts built in you have to use and injector. Which costs pretty big bucks. hand injectors are kinda dangeious and alot slower than pouring. Yes they do poour as fast as a stick using Calhoun Plastic. The problem with tube molds is you can still get an air gap in about 80% of the baits(with other plastics), I got it down to where I get no airgap. using 2 size's. But I am also using calhoun plastic which I can get hotter, m-f plastic didnt not work so well. I havent tried lure craft plastic yet( I need to order some stuff so I was going to order a gal of that. I am going to put some text up on the site to explain this, cause I dont want people to buy something that they will have problems with. I am not trying to put a plug for Calhoun plastic but its just this plastic will get hotter and run more watery. Ive been playing with another way to get the skirt built into the the bait, its going to be an extra charge of about $50. Ive played with it a bit and it works pretty good so far. granted the molds will run about $150 but you will have a complete tube with no cutting. This will be avail after the first of the year. the regular tubes will be avail monday afternoon. I got only 5 molds made right now I am trying to get some more made before I sell them. cause I dont want people to have to wait for me to make them. I know most of ya have heard this before but like I said I want something thats easy to pour and works flawlessly before I let it out, I hate angry mobs LOL Delw
  5. SOrry I posted yesterday cause I didnt see this thread, Anyway merry christmas to all. Delw
  6. Hope your christmas is happy and safe. Delw
  7. we used to store lots of gun powder when we were shooting compitition skeet, we would have any where from 10-20 25lbs kegs at a time. (it was hard to come by in japan so we always stocked up) we ended up fixing our moisture problem with cutting corragated cardboard and putting it into the kegs of powder. this worked real well. It might help with the salt also. Delw
  8. Matt those are very nice swimbaits. I would be affraid of loosing them. They almost look real. Delw
  9. You can used good epoxy and it will work pretty good, Jb weld works better. then after you fill in the bad parts use a dremel tool to cut what you need. if you want to hold your hand steady find a book or something the right height to steady your hand it should come out fine. CNC machineing is obviously the best way cause all your molds will be identicle. Ive also heard bondo works good as well and holds up to the heat. Delw
  10. I made a 2 piece for a guy, that was almost exact. Delw
  11. When I am done pouring I leave the mess for my wife to clean up(she just toss's it aside) I mainly pour using pyrex out to the microwave, so thats a no brainer. I have 3 pots that I just unplugg and goto bed( I always pour the night before a tourny or late late at night. when I want to re heat them I goto the garage and plug them in at a low setting(every pot is different) and then go do other things for for a few hours. hardley ever get burned. when in pots I use heat stabilizer Delw
  12. Nathan, my opinion you did the best way possible, as long as the manual mill is rigid, what brand and size did you get? ALso on the conversion did you get the three axis one? or just the 2 axis one? What brand conversion did you get? Bobcad is a good software for just beginning. Delw

    Custom jig molds

Thanks BigSplash. I can make them but right now we are 6-8 weeks behind on custom molds. I am just starting to catch up with custom molds I had for a long time Delw
  14. When pouring clear baits with glitter this is a little something I learned by trial and error. I heat the plastic up in a 1-2 cup pyrex, add a little softener and stabilizer. when I pour the plastic I use a lurecraft pouring pan, I pour the heated plastic into the pouring pan then add glitter into the lurecraft pouring pan.. reason being the glitter bleeds pretty bad and whenyou reheat the plastic with glitter in it it will color more. Delw
  15. If you have a few lee pots and using one just for a blood line only fill the pot 1/4 full or less, this will allow the plastic to flow in a very fine Line. Delw
  16. The reason they say fl oz is due to people like to have them in Jars or containers. , when I ordered my glitter from lurecraft I ordered 1/2 lb and was hoping it would be in a container and it was in a bag. The reason I dont like bags is due to the static electricity, it will have the glitter flying everywhere in no time( you will see when you start selling glitter) its a big mess. M-f sells theres in a small container. Small bags are worse. You can run through the shopping cart with that zip and it will tell you exact pricing. I just got home and I am beat, email me tomorrow and if you hadnt looked it up by then I will. Delw
  17. It says right on their website where you order. 2 fl oz. which would be by volume not weight Also when packageing the stuff it does settle once the static electricity get out, this is why you would find an 80% full bottle Also you can if you want to pack 10 fl oz in a 2oz jar might take a while but it would work. Delw

  20. We got some coming over just havent recieved it yet. Delw
  21. Oh I understand with you 100% and I know what you mean about the shipping. Thats the problem with some of this stuff we do for hobbies we pay more in shipping than we do for the product. When I first started buying m-f my shipping was over the cost of the plastic I switched to 5 gals and I saved alot but I also spent alot in shipping. 1/2 - 3/4 the cost of plastic. I post on this board just like the rest of you do, I didnt mean for it to sound Like I was worried about someone taking business away. Delw
  22. I had one of those netcraft syringe's bust on me, #1 is was my own stupid fault, I was not wearing glass's or glooves and I was holding the mold together. if the thing didnt melt I might have been ok but I am sure even if it didnt I would have been burned like I was.... Can you say no fishing for a few weeks. Talk to one of your local vets, they might have a stainless steel one around and you can also wrap heater tape around it to keep it warm. Delw
  23. I have a friend testing the tube molds now. so if they work out(in the next day or 2) they will be up online. there are 4 different sizes and I have a few in stock as we speak. I am leary of putting them up cause I am not a good pourer and dont want to sell something that people wont be happy with. I found some tricks to pouring them and I want to make sure I put those under the descriptions of the molds before I offer them as well. I also have some 6 & 8" tubes and even a 10" tube As far as salt, We(my wife and I) have discussed it. its going to probally be one of the last things we offer(after the colors and other stuff) due to shipping will be more than the salt in some case's and most people can get good quality salt in the town they are in, for a cheaper price. Delw
  24. Calhoun plastic will only sell 55 gal barrels or more to customers. Anything less than 55 gals goes through a distributer. Any amount of plastics in 5 gal drums also goes through a distributer. Like wise the Distributer referrs anyone That wants 55 drums or more to Calhoun The Distributer deal was set up so people could get a High quality plastic and a reasonable price. WHat was happening is that everytime someone wanted a 1 or 5 gal bucket calhoun had to pull someone off the line to fill up the buckets. Calhoun mainly sells in 250 gals tubs and up to big injection manufactures, the sold in 55 gal drums to the littler maunfactures. Calhoun is a superior plastic to anything thats out there now for a few reasons. a few of which are The consistancy No hard settling No smell when using it indoors(in microwave and pots) Doesn't smoke(in microwave) and very little smoke in pots(if any at all) The Plastic is alot more durable than any other plastic out there. Colors are righer and brighter Delw
