I use my plastics over when I get enough of them... but only on my personal baits... Some baits are soft and come apart real easy... you will find alot of people will buy the soft baits before the harder ones.. Delw

No didnt make it last min deal had to stay home... so far I am batting 3-4... I will try havasu in oct maybe even there open they are having on mead ..... My buddy James Bury and his friend fished it, he didnt do to good.... this time. His buddy was catching 10lbs a day prefishing useing my dropshot worms he ran out over the week and James brought him up some on friday for the tourny.. I am betting he either fished his spots out or the pro he was fishing with did want to fish his spots... tobad to cause he had some nice fish from what james told me.... Again congrats... Delw

You will also have a burning problem if you use a stainless steel pan to cook the plastic in.... Another way to heat plastic is to heat it in the microwave them pour it in the pan so you can pour... this way your heat doesnt have to be as hot on the burned..... Delw

The stik mold converted to the tube works pretty good.. the smaller tubes I am haveing a bit of a problem with hand pouring. They pour just like the stik mold(on the top) but have a bigger hold on the top.. I think if I modify that hole a little bigger it will work.... Back to the drawing board for a day or so..... Delw

red I built many many rods mainly for steelhead and salmon... Both fly and bait/spinning... the one thing is you wont screw up if you dont epoxy your wraps until your sure its like you want... My first blank was a $400 2 piece grafite blank when they first came out in 1977.... it was a 9.5 foot flyrod... I personally would go with the gloomis rods they run around 150-190... when I get time I am going to build me a set of bass rods all out of glommis blanks........ I havent built one in over 20 years now, but i still have the first lamaglass(it was a browish red) steelhead blank they came out with and a fer fenwick blanks... The lamaglass was an awsum rod for steelies and very sensitive... dont do a 2 piece for your first one cause ferrules are a pain in the butt , do a one piece rod..... Delw

Yes this was just a play toy... the rods in the molds will be adjustable so you can make the skirt to any length.. same with the tube molds.. Delw

of the tubes this afternoon. came out pretty cool and easy to pour... only problem I had was cutting the damn tail but you guys that do tubes should have that figured out............ here is a pic of one I made on the end of a scrapped stik mold I had laying around.... I will work up a price then get it on the page in a day or so when we have them in stock. both tubes and stik's with the skirts on the ends of them all size's will be avail... Delw

Some of the candle dye's are very concentrated and dont take much... The one thing that I found is that it leaves a greasy film on the pyrex when I use it in the microwave. but it dont on the worms or on your fingers when you pic up the worms... Delw

Hey al you wanna see some cool colors goto a crafts mart and get the candle dies.. they have about every color you can think of.. Ive been playing with them for a while now and they look good with no bleeding... Ive used the dyes in liquid and solids with the same results Delw

Ive been using pink for over a year now... its the only color dropshot bait I use. Buddy's of mine have won lots of money useing that color as well.... My pink is a little more red that bubblegum... I also add fine red fleck and fine blue fleck to it.... Delw

Al.. 2 years ago while prefishing the evening before the next days tourny I picked up a 7lber on a spinner bait. broke off at the boat, caught 5-9 more on one bankall about 2-6 lbs.. That next morning we had the tourny. my first cast was in the same spot I lost the 7 on the second cast I caught it on a buzzbait and I got my spinner bait back as well( Ive done it with worm fishing but never a spinnerbait or heavy bait). I also picked up every fish I caught the night before on buzzbaits and spinner baits with in 2 hours on the same 100 yard stretch of bank... To me thats a once in a lifetime deal. On worms and lizzards I have caught the same fish a few days (and A few times in the same day)in a row, just because when I knew I caught it twice I notched its tail..... it hit the same 4" bluefleck lizzard next to the same bush also.... Beds are easier... my daughter caught the same fish 9 times in one morning... right after relesing it they get more aggresive so they are easier to catch. Delw

Looks like I am going to be fishing WON in a few weeks over there in your neck of the woods. They main hotel casino is booked(for the won price) and rooms are 169 per night fri. and sat. What other casinos hotels are there? My wife might be coming if she oesnt I am sharing a room with a buddy who already has a room res... How long is the drive from laughlin to the launch area at mead? we have free rooms there for life (lol) Anyway dont know if I am fishing as a pro or not , most likely a pro so I will be prefishing in the next week or so. Or I might come up well before the tourny and fish... Delw

Funny that this is brought up... last night I had a guy buy 20 t-shirts from Indonesia I am a bit concerned for 2 reasons .. Its unverified and 20 t-shirts what the heck for? not to mention that this person wants it to be shipped as a gift for less than $50.(so to avoid customs) Is this a normal practice? Man I would hate to get introuble for doing something like that. I dont need any trouble from customs or the irs. I am debating if I want to go through with it. I dont want to get stuck with 300 bucks worth of shirts and not get my money or the shirts back... Do any of you guys ship overseas? is there a way to wait until payment is cleared before shipping? I am working on them this week amogst other molds. I know what I would like to make them at and as soon as I have a price to verify it I will let you know... I wont put them on the website till I have a few in stock.. I dont want people to pay for them then have to wait to get them shipped.. its kinda not fair... Sometimes we do run out of molds ( ie the stick molds) faster than we can make them... DSP5MKR( I know I got the spelling wrong) knows how to dip tubes and also cut the tails.. I am sure when he has time he will explain it in detail like he usually does.... Delw

I designed a mold to hand pour tubes.... its a 2 piece mold out of alum. most of the guys dip them..... I know of no mold except mine that can be used to handpour them... maybe these guys might knwo of some... Delw

Red Ive been using pink since last june.. a buddy of mine poured some as a joke... little did we know they would work as good as the do... All my drop shotting is on pink and nothing else.. sometimes we cull 20-30 fish in one area.... its a great color for all year round.. I am getting more shirts made should be done in 2 weeks.... Delw
