AIRRID is a product that I found and have used for the last 20 molds I have made and the thing is ,it realy works!! Find it at hobby lobby or micheals in the plaster section. also if you want the best plaster to use it would be craft and hobby molding plaster of paris this stuff comes in a 8lb plastic jar not some card board box or DAP container with a bucket lid. This is found at one of the two stores mentioned above also. Get some and get pouring!!!

I agree with al I use ss from mf and hardly ever add hardner. All plastics smoke some and I highly recomend a good fan. I do my pouring from a production pot most of the time now because its big!!! and also keeps my plastic hot well I'm pouring. Once you figure out when to turn the heat back down its a cake walk. I still do some melting in the nuke if I'm in a hurry, and that works fine for small jobs.

You know how you cast a worm and the tail wraps around a limb like you trying to tie of a horse? Well take heed , never try to pull one of these buggers off unless you have on your sunglasses!!! Ever shoot a 30 0 6 its about the same when they do let go!!!

Gotta love a bait that catches fish like a senko style bait! For those who are making them be sure you try differnt weights of baits[salt content] for a action the fish dont see everyday!!!!!

WOW, never thought I would find so many folks in one spot that agree with me on this!!!!!!! I want to get one thing straight , it is my feeling that you may need a trailer hook if your using some run of the mill spinnerbait and I wont mention names[i may use them as sponsers,lol] but when you use a hand made bait [ and I use celticavs] you darn sure should not, unless your just starting out! That brings me to when I may use one , 1. open water schooling fish, 2. high speed burning retrieve, and when fishing buzzbaits. The most important thing to me is being able to throw a spinner bait into cover, and a trailer hook is out! I fish spinnerbaits for fish that are tight to cover or feeding off the bottom around scatterd cover. As Celticav knows I'll drag a spinnerbait through some stuff that most people wouldnt and a trailer hook is a no no. My favorite technique is slow rollin and I mean slow, real slow. If its there my baits going in it [boy am I glad I know where to get more]. Some people fish these baits in differnt ways then I do and thats what works for them and is fine. Everyone needs to have there own style anyway, but for me I'll keep the trailer hooks in my tackle bag. DANO

my food service store carrys it, becarefull at sams I bought some and the box didnt say but it was butter flavored, ot to slide tru the weeds if I can work up the courage to use the stuff!!dano

I heard this before!! Yes it seems some plastic welders would work for this. I have not seen advances in the tech. , i'm going by what I have seen used in the past. But as any one from the welding field knows, this stuff changes almost as fast as the computer industy. The problem with it is this , if you need to be feeding a large amount of plastic per use the surenge is out and the plastic welders are for the most part are to. but as in any thing there were hopper style units that would work but would be to bulky to use to fill the limited space that molds have. The units that I saw in use were about 5-10 pound with out the plastic!!!! Two hands for sure and none to move or hold molds. So unless we move back to the sarting block I think we will be kicking this dead horse awhile. Maybe tech. has caught up with these units and someone can find one that would work to make our hobby easier!!!
