There hasn't been any soft plastic photos placed in the photos section since November. Is everybody too busy or just don't have anything to show?
Just wonderin'

5 inch stick bait in blue with blue glitter
4 1/2 inch Brush Hog in Watermelon with red and black glitter
4 inch lizard black with chartreuse tail
I make all of them to suit me. More satisfaction in catching fish on a bait that you make.

Turn back now!!!! While you still have hope. Lure making is more addicting than cocaine. If you don't turn back, misery loves company, so welcome aboard!

Formula for blue gill tube
5 tsp Salt
8 oz LC 500 Plastic or Equivalent Extra Strength Plastic
3 drops LC BLack
2 drops MF Amber Green
1/4 tsp Medium Black Flake
1/8 tsp Medium Green Flake
1/8 tsp Medium Blue Flake
1/8 tsp Medium Gold Flake
The info for beginners would be good in the tutorial section or as a sticky. I remember gleaning all the info I could before I started soft plastic baits.

I agree, Del is the man to hook up with. His molds are second to none. He is an honest guy to deal with. He is busy and it takes a while to get to things, but they are right when you get them. I just wish I could justify buying a bunch more of his molds. My fishing and lure making budget is always overdrawn according to the wife.

Been in the hospital for 4 days and no replies. Guess I am not the only one that is having trouble with it. Oh well, when I do get a good one I will post it.

I have been trying to perfect a blood color for gills and bleeding baits. I have tried several combinations of red, raspberry, strawberry, black, blue ,black grape, etc.
Anyone have a sure fire formula for a blood color?
Thanks
Cal
I vote for a kit also. It is enough to get you started and let you find out if you like making baits. I want to warn you though, this hobby is as addicting as heroin!! Now don't say you weren't warned.
Del's products are great! Shaggy was right, you could get most of your money back on Ebay if you didn't like it.
Be sure to check out the color formula topic at the top of the list on this forum.
Good Luck!

Are you scorching the plastic? That really gives it a funny smell and I bet a funny taste. I haven't tasted any scorched ones yet
The grape doesn't taste too bad, but the shad and crawfish flavored worms really are awful tasting. Thats on worms that aren't scorched.
Decades ago when I started worm fishing, I would bite part of a worm off to shorten it. That was when most were not flavored or salted. The only flavor available was grape. Since I started fishing again, I have forgotten and bit one of the worms once in a while. Bummer!!!
