If you are going to use salt in your lures, a cheap coffee grinder should be on your list. A discount store near you should have one for $15 or less. It grinds the salt till it is the consistency of powdered sugar. Mixes better in the lures than anything else I have tried. Lots of luck to you guys that are new in soft baits.

Congratulations!!!
Keep on pouring! Experience is a good teacher. Order 4 more gallons and by then you will be a pro .
Lots of luck!
Still think you should try the microwave though!

I use 2 oz of plastic in pyrex beaker or measuring cup. Heat for about 20 to 30 seconds, stir, add glitter, color, etc. Put it back in and heat about another 5 seconds. Works every time for me. I hate the hot plate and stir method. This works!!!
Hello,
I haven't made spinner baits in years, but you might try Fire Mountain. I know it is a jewelry and bead supply place, but I see a lot of things that really look like they belong on an inline spinner or spinner bait. Hope this helps.

Just wanted to tell the success of my latest soft plastic and give the formula in case anyone is interested. I bought a Lurecraft Senko nockoff mold and used their 502 plastic. The formula below produced 25 bass between 2 and 5 pounds in one afternoon. Pretty good fishing for an old man. I give all of the credit to the bait.
2 oz. Lurecraft Plastisol 502
2 drops red color
8 drops white color
dropperful of heat stabilizer
1/2 oz of fine salt
1/4 teaspoonful of silver glitter
Not sure I would want to fish there. Some Chaldean might decide to loot your stringer.
Funny, but we liberate that bunch, and the first thing they do is start stealing from each other and killing each other. I am not sure but what they really deserved Sadam. Oh yea, the third thing they started doing was saying Yankee Go Home!!! Now that is gratitude for ya!
I say let the rag heads be and bring our boys home!
