  1. Here are some pics Well, I am still trying to post pics
  2. I asked Dayooper for a downsize conversion kit for his fluid bed. He created one for me. It worked real well. It allowed me to dip jigs deeper with less total volume of paint. Warning! It takes much less air pressure to work properly. I will include pictures when I can get them to post. User error I am sure.
  3. Here in Southern Oklahoma, we have a lot of luck on baits with red. I would say that baits like red shad would outfish a shad 5 to 1. We use a lot of purple and red in worms and tubes as well. I don't care what the fish see. All I care about is what the fish hit.
  4. Jann's Netcraft has them. Be very very careful. I was burned with it. I threw mine in the trash. I didn't want to take the chance that someone else might use it. I am not knocking Jann's, they are a great company and I buy a lot of stuff from them.
  5. I forgot to mention that my Sospenders are also auto inflate. Will it auto inflate? Not sure, but it gives me a better chance than one without auto inflate.
  6. My two cents worth: I have been fishing with plastic baits since the late 60's. Most places packed them in a small amount of worm oil to keep them from sticking together and to keep them from hardening. I always kept some worm oil on my worms in their double sided tackle box. Yes it leaked a little, but the worms were always fresh and supple. I still pack the soft plastic baits that I make in worm oil. Salt washes off, the oil washes off, so what is the best to keep your worms in?? My money is on the oil.
  7. I fell between a dock and my boat. NO I wasn't drinking. It was just a freak accident. I hit my hip and head on the dock. I was trying desperately to get back on the dock. The dock was in 12 feet of water and the water was about 58 degrees. I did not have on any kind of life vest, sospenders, etc. If I had hit my head as hard as my hip, I would be dead right now. I now wear sospenders from the time I get to the lake until I get back on dry land. They are not as hot or restricting as a vest. You never know when another freak accident will happen.

    My First Bait

Looks good to me. I would throw it.
  9. Thanks Benjamin, I can't wait to test this new conversion system.
  10. Anyone have a formula for Green Pumpkin Powder?
  11. Benjamin, I want to be your beta test site! Dayooper, if you have a smaller cup, you can paint with a lot less paint. With the big cups, it takes about 4 ounces of paint to get it deep enough IMO.
  12. Benjamin, I have one of your fluid beds. I just had 3 jigs to paint and I didn't want to change paints in it for 3 jigs. Just a little lazy I guess. By the way, do you have some kind of a downsize kit so you could paint small jigs with just a little paint?
  13. My pharmacist (me) says to go to the liquor store and get some everclear or 95% or 180 proof alcohol. It won't give you the headache that the acetone will. If you absorb it in your skin, it will be better for you than the acetone.
  14. I only found a translucent brown from createx. I needed a dark brown as well. I haven't tried it yet, but my wife the artist said start with equal amounts of green and red and then add by single drops until you get it right.
  15. I recently air brushed some jigs in pearl blue. I covered them with clear powder paint and cured them in oven. Looked really good to me. Warning, you can get too much clear powder real easy and you can get a drip or bulge.

    Baby bass Attempt

If the fish are hitting it, you don't have too much white . Great baits

    Red Shad attempt

I know a lake where the fish love red and black. You might get your arm broke throwing that color

    PATRIOT SHAD

Nil, you have outdone yourself again. I know the American's won't be offended. A little jealous maybe, but not offended. A great work of art. Are you going to list those on your website? I bet a lot of patriots would be glad to have a bait like that as a collector's item. Remember, 4th of July is not that far off.

    Perch swirl

    They got my vote!
  20. Looks real good to me!! Keep up the good work!
  21. If you are going to make a single sided mold, you will need to glue the senko to the bottom or it may very well float up.
  22. I ordered my respirator from shoplet.com
  23. Don't pour inside your house. Do use a respirator unless you are outside with a 30 mile per hour wind.
  24. Vodkaman, I think you been drinkin too much of it. Everyone knows that the English system is better than the metric system. Just kiddin. We use the metric system primarily in pharmacy. It is much easier to make calculations.
