  1. Hot knife - yes I have a hot knife but mainly use it to fuse skirts to lure I didn't keep any pics. Some of the molds I waited 30 minutes and the others I waited 3 hours to cool. It is a hand pour mold. I was using a griddle because I was trying to pour the body of 20 finesse worms in black and then come back pour the last inch in chartreuse. Rather than my usual method of pour the body and switch and pour the tail.
  2. So I finally got a griddle and use it to preheat injectors and molds. I tried using it to meld body to tail two-color 4.5" finesse worm aluminum molds. The tail joined perfectly but I could not get the worms to release from the mold with tearing them all apart--except for a few of the twenty. I think I had the griddle set at 200F. What am I missing in the process? Thanks, Mickey
  3. I have one from Bass Tackle and add a skirt to it https://www.basstackle.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TwinTailGrubMold.-5-inch-
  4. green pumpkin black flake, green chartreuse black flake
  5. I made some floating tubes before. What type/size hook (3/0?) are you using?
  6. Just enough salt to get them neutrally buoyant.
  7. I have two of that mold and they turn out fine just as long as I don't have a bunch of caffeine. For dropshotting I prefer Del's 3.5 paddletail Mickey
  8. Closest one I found was the YUM Samurai Shad. Mickey
  9. I use LC oxblood and add in LC pumpkinseed to dark it up. Throw in some red flake and its pretty nice.
  10. Nice baits Longhorn...especially like the biggest sized ones. I tried putting together my version... http://www.mglures.com/images/products/shad/americanshad.jpg
  11. Never tried fishing them wacky. They weigh about 3/8 oz. so I rig them on my flippin' rod and go behind guys who are flipping jigs in the vegetation/milfoil. If I rig one now with a 15lb anchor--still won't go through the ice
  12. I can make those. You'd be the first Northern guy! I usually only get orders for the "big boys" for Texas or Mexico fishing trips. Mickey
  13. SmallieHunter, How much weight are we taking about? I've tinkered with weighted on other styles--centipede should be doable. Mickey
  14. Del's has one. Although it says 6" it is about 5" 5 1/16" http://www.del-mart.com/shop/product.php?productid=16461&cat=258&page=1 I have 3 of them, but you can't have them

    Plum Apple

What mold is that little crawfish? That sure would go great as a jig trailer up here in MN. Mickey
