  1. Has anyone received the new '06 catalog from Rollie & Helens Musky Shop?
  2. Checked out the color lineup from BIG FORK LURES . Some awesome looking paint jobs. Gotta get a few of these before the open water season for sure.
  3. Gentlemen, don't waste your time and effort on above mentioned plating. They have sprayable chrome finishes on the market now that will blow your mind. Heres a website that comes to for you all to check out. www.alsacorp.com . Product is called Mirra Chrome and you don't need special spraying equipment to use. There are many others out there also. Type in sprayable chrome finishes on google and you'll see many options. There expensive but a quart will paint alot of lures .
  4. There not shown on the site. Give them a call to receive catalog showing full line of lips with pricing.
  5. Contact riverruntackle.com . They've got a full line of lexan lips in many sizes and styles.
  6. Popular. You can't be serious. The guy has ripped off so many people he can't show his face at most musky sportshows. Talk to any of the top musky shops and you'll get the same answer. Theres many other quality muskie baits being made that equal and exceed the quality of his baits at half the price.
  7. You mention glass mixed with the sand. Please expand on this more.
  8. Don't waste your time and effort spraying this. The key to a successful topcoat is a high build. Brush on one coat and rotate for 2 to 3 hrs. and thats it. Beleive me thats all there is to a final coating my friend.
  9. Magic Bob, the most important step when working with epoxies is accurate measuring and thorough mixing. If you you do these two steps to a tee, I can assure you that you will not have problems. Enviotex lite is an excellent product. Continue to use it as stated and you will love it.
  10. Luremakers in the know such as Clemmy know that Pop-r, spooks, etc. are made of buterate plastic not hardwood my friend. As suggested I can assure you Jigflipper that Enviotex Lite will be a topcoat that will please. It has it all. Excellent adhesion, high gloss and reasonably priced. Trust me Boatnik 13 I've tested all the epoxy coatings out there and this is the coating to use. Give it a try. I know you won't be dissapointed.
  11. Yes it was the Devcon that made it sink. This is a high build resin product and problems as this can arise. Use Envirotex Lite.
  12. This company makes them for all the catalogs, (netcraft, stamina, etc.) Kendik 740 Rothsville Rd Lititz PA 17543 PH 717-627-2161
  13. Where can one purchase the holographic paints?
  14. Heres the place where most manufactures in the muskie lure business buy lips . River Run Fishing Products @ 715-445-3178 . Dave Lutz owner. There located in Lola, WI . Ask them for the latest spec sheet/catalog showing the full line. I can assure you theres nobody else making a more complete line of lips in lexan and metal out there than these guys.
  15. FEW Products distributes Envirotex at a reasonable cost also. Toll free call at 877-339-8874. Free shipping if order is over $100. Don't hassle with dipping the lures. Apply 1 heavy coat with a brush and rotate for a couple of hrs. to set up .
  16. This coating has excellent adhesion, extremely hard when cured but is more brittle and prone to chip more than envirotex lite or flexcoat. My suggestion is to use envirotex lite. Has flexing properties similar to flex coat and costs less. One coat applied by brush and rotated for 2 to 3 hrs. provides a very durable coating. This product is very reasonably priced when on sale at Menards ($40/gal.)
  17. Diddo on the Envirotex. I've tested many coatings out there and it has performed very well for my needs. Another point on Crystal Sheen you may find interesting is that its the same product as Flex Coat. In fact both these products are made by the same company; ETI .
  18. Thin it with lacquer thinner and air brushed. Contact them at 800-758-9561 for a sample to try.
  19. For a true pearl finish nothing comes close to the Englehard Corporation ultrabrite USD. The pigment is so concentrated that its mixed at a 25/1 ratio with any clear nitrocellulose or buterate clear lacquer. I've been using this product along with all their other pealescent powders for 13 yrs. and the realism it gives a lure is has to be seen to really be appreciated.
  20. Tim you mentioned that you've used quilting mylar for painting templates. How do you conform this material to lure body so pattern forms a nice clean edge when painting?
  21. My geuss is Norman uses Flexcoat because of the marketing use of the word "gelcoat" used in their ads. Interested to hear what other tackle makers think they are using.
