Got one of Kevin's at Basstackle and WOW...thicker tube wall with a bayonnet style locking pin for easy on/off nozzling, he makes a high quality injector.
  10. can you post a web link ?
  11. Yes its Lure Craft's Color tech paint for plastic. I also use powder pigments, hi light powders and dual color powders in the clear base. You can also add plastisol colorants to the clear base, but you'll need to add some retarder as the colorants decrease the drying time. This is all done by airbrush.
  12. Been working on a new body for a shallow Shadzilla. We added a fin with an opening to slip in the 8/0 VMC keel weighted hook. I t weighs about 5.25 oz just under 10" long and it swims true at any speed !
  13. Also, be carefull how much pork fat you put in as it will exude/leech out of your baits in a month or so if you put to much in. Plastisols will accept oils, but only so much.
  14. I've been wondering how Poly One plastisols as compared to whats on the market . Who's used it so far and what do you think ?
  15. oh yea, molds are amazing....communication is definetely selective
  16. Anyone had contact with Shawn Collins lately. Have sent him emails/ voice mails and no reply in 4 weeks ? Hopefully everything is ok !
  17. Small molds are fine, it's when I 've used larger swimbait molds (that I've made) that I get small pock marks once the molds have heated up from multiple pours.
  18. After you pour a few baits, let us know the it compares to other silicone molds you have used. My biggest complaint about silicone molds is the oils they extrude when heated.
  19. Calhoun used to sell it. Very hard to work with and it cannot be microwaved...only heated by an element. You were very limited as to what pigments could be added...I think only powder could be used. I had some and never attempted using it as plastisol is far more user friendly. Strike King makes their chunks from it.
  20. Guys, just be aware this is NOT biodegradable plastisol. It has a no Phalates, so its safer to use that regular PVC plastisols...especailly if you eat it
  21. Many of those squids are hand painted and or airbrushed.
  22. You have to balance a certain amount of cash sales to retail sales I'm sure most of us do it to increase profit margins . We have been pouring for almost 10 years now and have had a shop built to accomdate the expansions in business. I will keep doing this until I no longer enjoy it.
  23. You need to buy Retarder, this slows down the drying which is what is happening to your paint in mid air.
