  1. bought about a hundred of these glass rattles sometime ago, and my intentions were to use them on soft plastics. I've used maybe two of em. I was thinking that maybe I could incorporate them in wooden crankbaits. Anyone done this or have any ideas on how this could be done???

  3. well the second coat i applied remained slightly tacky so I mixed up another batch of Sheen and this time i made sure the bubble were gone before applying to the lure. worked out pretty well and now that sucker is as hard as a rock and not to mention it looks nice and shiny!
  4. well the first coat of crystal sheen came out alright then i applied a second coat and after 24hrs it's still a lil tacky and seems that some of the bubbles came up to the surface and now i have small pits on the surface. any suggestions??

    just got some of this clear sheen stuff from alpine import. got it within three days. anyone have suggestions on mixing the stuff??
  8. good question. i suppose it depends on the type of paint you're using. for me, i use createx and as soon as i'm done painting i go ahead and clear coat it with devcon 2 ton.

  10. found a butterfly net at the dollar store in the toy section. great for octagonal scales on small baits and it's only $1.

  14. I bought into the informercial thing for the "Walking Worm" and I'm happy to say that they are great at catching.....DUST!
  15. Hey Merc, Just completed the pourin', sortin', labeling, and packaging of the plastics. They will be in the mail tomorrow. 21 packs in all. Wide variety of colors in six different styles!!

  17. thanks for the reply. another question: how long after applying the primer should you wait to paint?? Will I be able to clearcoat it even though it remains tacky? thanks again.
  18. I just finished carving a cranbait out of basswood and applied several coats of primer (bullseye 123). I airbrushed the lure with Createx and let it dry for two days and it still feels kinda of tacky. Is there something I did wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

  23. Hi all, just wondering if any one knows where to get 2" to 3" plastic minnow bodies. I ordered some from LC but they seem to have some imperfections so I'm looking for a retailer who can provide me with some good quality plastic minnow bodies. Thanks.
