  1. Cheap enamel paint will work.
  2. A little more information would definitely help.
  3. I tried the warm knife before cleaning is was better than when cold. It's clean enough that I can live with it. Thanks
  4. It’s just nasty lookin and stinks when heating.
  5. Thanks. I’ve tried cleaning it cold. I’ll try it warm.
  6. Have you ever tried to clean one? If so how did it go?
  7. When I dipped I used canola oil on wood dowels.
  8. They are very good to deal with. I drove to Wichita once just to have a look at the store. It is relatively small with stuff on shelves and racks all over the place. I'd go there regularly if it weren't a 5 hour drive.

    Solvent

I just use soap and water
  10. Yes I tried a candle. It didn’t work either.
  11. As I mentioned in my original post, I have tried Krazy glue. This is not intended for long term. I know what it does even to pvc boxes.
  12. I know. I made that mistake several years ago. These would not be stored for long term. They would be made as I need them if indeed they work.
  13. Let me preface this with it is winter and I can’t fish very often. I’m going nuts. I made up 700 jigs, swimbait and tube heads a couple of weeks ago. Now I am messing around with plastics. I make my own hula grubs and decided to put some skirts on other baits. I normally use Mend-it or my hot knife to sitck them together. I want to put skirts on TRDs but can’t get them to stick. In addition to what I have mentioned I have tried Krazy glue and Super glue gel. So far nothing is working. Have any of you successfully tried something like this?
  14. Nor pour silicone is what I use. I prefer them to Pyrex. https://www.amazon.com/Norpro-Silicone-Measuring-Flexible-Dishwasher/dp/B002MKP24K

    Shipping

X2. I just shipped a 150 swimbait heads in the small flat rate box.
  16. I’ve dealt with Baitjunkys and Lurecraft which I believe is now part of Lure Parts Online. I don’t know the other one.
  17. Let's talk about the poison tail 1/8 oz. I used to have that mold and found that I could take a piece of regular house romex electrical wiring and strip off the insulation, I think it was 10 ga., and make pins out of it for that cavity. I have some other molds that I prefer to use 90# sevalon or surflon as weedguard. They don't get painted so I don't have to worry about heating the head. I fill in the weedguard slot with high temp silicone from Harbor Freight. I can lay the wire on the silicone, close the mold and pour away.
  18. I use a metal coat hanger. I make an L but turn the bottom back towards the vertical part forming a second wire about an inch above the base. That gives me a bottom scrubber and a mixer just above the bottom. It fits in a gallon jug. An electric drill does the work.
  19. Have you looked into quick change clevises. That might be your solution.
  20. This is worth your time. Have a look. He is a master craftsman.
  21. I’ll try the recoat first. I have 2 cans of spray. Thanks.
  22. I’ve been pouring lots of swimbait heads and some of my cavities need recoated. Is it ok to spray on another coat or should I clean it with acetone and start over?
  23. Have you looked at custombaits.com?
  24. Have you checked the soft plastics cookbook on this site?
