  1. Have you tried using a double filter?
  2. Hey I am glad it worked for you. Those are nice baits.
  3. I’ve been using it for several years on various molds. I don’t sell baits so I don’t get in a hurry.
  4. Here is one of mine. I shoot the mold filling both sides. I have to remove the side not being used and the plate, put the mold back together and shoot the other side. It is kind of slow but cheap and effective.
  5. Put a couple of Colorado blades on and see if you get vibration.
  6. I have several made the same way Tiderunner makes his. It’s cheap and easy. I buy small pieces at Lowes.
  7. I got weird stuff yesterday but today I get what Dink showed.
  8. When I can’t get a mold to fill I take a qtip dip it iv vegetable oil and coat the mold.
  9. They are EC. I’ve done from 30 to 60 and 60 to 30 but never gone this far before.
  10. I have a couple of thousand 90° jig hooks and only a few 30° ones. I have a specialty mold modified to take the 30° hook. I use it for shaky. On a whim I decided to try to make a 30 from a 90. It worked without the hook breaking. The stressed metal will be incased in the lead. I’m thinking that I won’t have any problem with the hook breaking using 12# line. I don’t want to bend 50 hooks and find out that this is a big mistake. Any of you have experience along this line?
  11. Give it a try and report back.
  12. My opinion is that there would be wrinkles to deal with but I haven’t tried it so it is just an opinion.
  13. You can not bake the jig with the Surflon in. What I do is use a heat gun heat the head enough to get paint to stick then heat some more until glossy. I don’t mind if it chips a bit. I did 4 dozen shaky heads today. It may not be your thing but it works for me and has for 20 years.
  14. I have been using Sevelon and Surflon 90# coated cable for years. I use it on tube heads and shaky heads. https://www.amazon.com/American-Fishing-Wire-Surflon-Stainless/dp/B004VZJWLI/ref=asc_df_B004VZJWLI/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=366433182635&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16632267039537718178&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1020569&hvtargid=pla-796434881412&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=79098075507&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=366433182635&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16632267039537718178&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1020569&hvtargid=pla-796434881412
  15. Disregard please. My wife dug out a protractor that I didn’t know that we had. It measures 30°.
  16. Several years ago I bought out a friend’s hooks when he quit bass fishing. Many were in unmarked containers. I’m getting low on this hook and looking for a replacement to fit in a modified mold that I also got from him. So is this a 30° hook?
  17. The wire has to be added later. I drill holes then bend a stainless steel wire into a square bottom U shape, poke them in and spread and shape them before painting.
  18. Have you considered some kind of holographic paint on stuff like nail polish.
  19. Super. I just ordered me 400. That should get me through this winter.
  20. It seems that Victory is it. They don’t seem to be available anywhere right now. I was only able to get 50 with my mold. I want several hundred more. I also hope they get rolling and make other sizes cause it may be a good shaky head.
  21. Maybe not the best but favorite cheapo is Harbor Freight. I buy the basics and mix for other colors.
  22. I can’t make my favorites cause they are Elaztech, being zeros and trds.
  23. Good luck with that. I’ve yet to find one.
