  1. Good luck with that. My toaster oven draws more than my heat gun. When I use the toaster oven I heat about 6 heads at a time. Any more than that they get too cool for the paint to stick. I only let them heat enough for a light powdery coat as I don't want them hot enough for a slick coat which could indicate too much paint.
  2. Do you think having it near a furnace vent would dry it out. It sure dries everything in my house out.
  3. I'd like to see some closeups of how some of them cut. I have a couple of pairs that I bought from Barlows many years ago. The cut the head a bit flat and leave a line I have to file. I'd really like to get away from that.

    Softner

I use Calhoun's Medium and don't add any softener to it.
  5. Cadman is absolutely correct here. He put me on to Frankfort Arsenal Drop out spray. I ordered some from Zeiners in Wichita. It is great stuff and really makes molds slick. You will have to have Fed Ex bring it because USPS won't carry it,
  6. I haven't had trouble with them but don't really care for them so I bought Nor Por silicone cups. I can't keep them hot like Frank does but I only pour small batches.
  7. LPOL is one of the places that I buy from. I also buy from Lurecraft, Bait Junkies, Bears Baits, Barlows, and Janns Netcraft.
  8. I used to buy mine from Battlefield Wire but the closed down. I just found a guy who has a bunch which he bought while they were still open. If you are familiar with them and want any, I can put you in touch with him. He gets $3 each for them.
  9. Cadman and smalljaw both make jigs. I'll bet one of both have that mold.
  10. looks like an Arke to me
  11. I used the cylindrical glass like pyrex. They are less than 2" in diameter and about 3" tall.
  12. Scott I haven't dipped since I bought some injection molds. When I did I used several different types of rods in different sizes, phillips screw drivers, dowel rods, fiber glass rods, etc. The all will work. I always oiled them first to get the tubes off easier.
  13. I've cleaned baits with ketchup.
  14. Les those that Donnie posted on the other site are great wires. They are what I used till the company closed.
  15. Go up to BROWSE . It is in a list that will pop down.
  16. #1 culprit is tire pressure I had the same issue and checked axle, checked alignment, etc. Maintaining max recommended tire pressure cured it.
  17. Dale the James River to which I was referring is one of the Table Rock Lake tributaries here in MO where bobv and I both live. Sorry.
  18. Sometimes, but with limited results except for specs when the get on the James river roll offs.
  19. No nothing between them and nothing larger than 1/4. This is the ball jig mold that I use for my white bass hair jigs. To get exactly what you want you may need to contact Cadman since smalljaw didn't seem to have what you are hunting. This is what the jig head looks like in a 1/16 oz FnF jig.
  20. bobv I checked my molds and don't have any 3/16. I do have a 1/4 that will take a 90# surflon braided/coated cable which I use in my tube jigs. It doesn't have a lead collar on it. I also checked and have a lot of #1 hooks. Let me know if I can help you with them.
  21. I'll check my molds and see what I have that might work. I'll get back to you hopefully tomorrow.
  22. Was that at Mutton Creek when I was getting the Chief and Card signs for my son in law? Depending on how many jigs you want, what size and type of hook and the head weight I may be able to fix you up. Let me know.
