  1. I use it a lot on my 1/8 PT and my tube heads. I put duct tape across the wg slot and let it hold the wire in place.
  2. I use pieces of copper from romex 12 ga. for the smaller holes.
  3. I use my shop vice instead of a hammer. Tape the nail in place. Close the vice on the mold then tighten it to make the depression.
  4. Jacob's stinger mold is good enough.
  5. Mine came from Barlows. After 10 years or so I dulled them and bought another pair. Like smalljaw I kept the old pair to use in places that might dull the new ones. I've had the new ones for over 5 years and they are still quite sharp.
  6. Very good video smalljaw. That beats the heck out of how I have been doing it for the last 20 years.
  7. The Ned has been producing for me lately. However, the lake has a lot of algae on it and the only jig head that is going thorough it is my 1/8 Poison Tail. Everything else is getting lots of algae. I can't fish tubes or swing jigs because of all of it getting on the heads.
  8. Get in touch with Cadman. He is the multi color jig guru around here.
  9. UM Mike I can't see any pic.
  10. Like I stated earlier, I use them but I don't know about the burn thing as I normally heat in 30-45 second bursts.
  11. I use ice cream sticks. A couple of bucks buys several years worth.
  12. I don't put my divided cup in the microwave. I warm it up on a griddle while I melt the 2 colors in my nor por cups. I pour them into the divided cup then use it on my molds.
  13. I never have used that product. When I pour lams I do the bottom in a good (warm) mold. I have the other color ready and as soon as possible I pour the top. I have never had them separate.
  14. I'd buy the liner. Mine wore out from many many years of use. I bought a new plunger and a new liner at least 10 years ago. The old pot is still going strong.
  15. Ben I haven't fished them much but did buy one of the molds. I have googled it and found a few articles and one video by KVD. It sounds like you can fish it like a crankbait or jig.
  16. Pour a few runs without hooks like Bob said. Make sure your lead is the soft type and hot. If that doesn't work then you may need a mold release spray.
  17. Painter where in MO are you? Do you have the PT molds?
  18. I use 90# coated wire from Cabela's.
  19. You've been given some real good advice from 3 guys who know what they are doing. My pot gets rusty between uses in the unheated garage unless I keep it at least 2/3 full of lead. When that happens I get your symptoms even with good lead.
  20. I use double sided tape and a baking pan.
  21. That is correct. I squeeze the cup and hold it several inches above the mold so that my stream is smaller than a tooth pick.
  22. I use scent in the mold much of the time and then I add scent to bags before putting the baits in them. At the very least it greases them up and makes them go into the bags easier.
