  1. I need brown and black. How much?
  2. The last I heard was production was to have started in September and delivery would be available in November. I guess that didn't happen. Has anyone heard about it? Are we going to be able to get it in the near future?
  3. While making some jigs today, I dug through my stash and found some old flat living rubber. When I tried to use it, the strands wouldn't come apart correctly. What can I do to be able to use this stuff?
  4. We use carpet knife blades bolted together, placed in a vise and roll a dowel rod over the tube. Cheap but effective.
  5. I want to duplicate the Gene Larew plum craw and have never gotten it down. Can any of you give me some advise?

    Jig Tying Wire?

Tally, I go to Pomme de Terre every fall for a few weeks. This year we decided to see how long we could stand it. In six weeks I gave out, but my wife wanted to stay longer. However, the water came up 4 feet and was muddy, slowing the bite so I won out and we came home.

    Jig Tying Wire?

Sorry to be so late in replying, I have been on a 6 week fall fishing trip. I use copper wire to tie my jigs. My table saw motor died and I found a good 10 year's supply of wire inside the thing.

    maps

The U S Geological Service should have topo maps of anywhere in America.
  9. I believe someone mentioned a product which would be good for covering spider cracks in jell coat. I have looked and searched the forums but come up blank. Can any of you lead me in the right direction?? I found a crack in my Champion by the driver's console.
  10. "If you guys could provide any info...good, bad, hopefully not ugly...about this company/boats I'd appreciate it. All I've heard so far is pretty good." Tracker boats is a Johnny Morris (Bass Pro Shops) company. The boats themselves are good quality aluminum. The company tends to use the smallest motors possible, low thrust trolling motors, and bottom of the line electronics to keep the costs down and maximize sales. In most cases a motor, trolling motor, and/or depth finder upgrade is necessary to get the optimum from the boat.
  11. I am very conscious of tire pressure. I run 70+ in the camper and truck and 50 in the boat trailer tires. I have looked all over town for Thunderblast and Mean Green. I have only found Simple Green. I tried it and got little results. There is a town of 150,000 a few miles away. I am going there to Bass Pro this pm and will look for the two products which you have recommended. Thanks.
  12. I used some STP Son of a Gun tire care on my camper tires. It looked real good so I put it on the car, truck, and boat. The tires on the camper turned a dirty brown. I called STP and they suggested their cleaner "Tough Stuff" and "guaranteed" that it would do the trick. Five scrubbings later it hadn't done anything. I have also tried Wesley's Bleach White. It did a little good. Can anyone recommend a cleaner to me??? The car tires are turning brown now. BTW: STP's response was to send me a free coupon for some more Tough Stuff ($2.64 less tax).
  13. I am kind of a rummy/dummy here but I like powder paint.
  14. I have checked all over for living rubber. Jan's has blue and red left. I talked to the Living Rubber Co. and was told that it is being manufactured overseas and will be ready for distribution by the end of September.
  15. When I glue them in I use JB Weld. I have never had one come out. I sometimes use a plastic coated cable (I can't remember the name) for a weed guard. On another post it was mentioned that one can pour single jigs with fiber guard then immediately dip into powder paint. I tried it on black and brown with 3/8 and 1/2 oz football heads. The 1/2 did just fine but the 3/8 dried with a dull finish. The bass didn't seem to mind Tuesday night. Next time I will turn up the heat on the lead pot to see if that helps.
  16. I just replaced the liner, heating element, and plunger on my Lee pot. The factory guy recommended I fully drain the pot and spray it with WD-40 to keep it from rusting. That hasn't really worked. Does anyone have a suggestion?
  17. The football jig seems to stand up most of the time. I have gone to it for bottom fishing over any of my other jig types. I get it hung up less and it comes loose more often after being hung than my other styles.
  18. I cut up the grate from my wife's broiler pan and put it on a Wal Mart baking pan. I painted and cured some heads this morning and they didn't scortch or drip.
  19. I buy mine from Stamina.
  20. musky_man, Just how small is that brush? I got some out of my wife's make up kit and only got clumpy results.
  21. Tally, Does the pan set directly on the lower heating element??
  22. Tally, Yes I would like to see a pic of your set up.
  23. That is the kind of thing I was contemplating. Except mine will have to be front to back instead of side to side on bending the grate. Thanks.
  24. I have been using a toaster oven which has one shelf close to the heating element. If I get jigs anywhere close to the element the paint scorches. Would it be worth while to bend the shelf and raise it above the element or should I keep heating 20 jigs at a time?
