    New deep diver

I think it looks pretty good.
  5. Bad customer service should be flammed, there is no excuse for it. I haven't ordered from Stamina in two years because the service was so poor.

    Musky Rocket Shad

I got dizzy looking at this one, man that is a cool looking bait.

    Crawdads?

most use stenciles, I suck at using stenciles and freehand, so I don't paint craw patterns. I just paint the basic color pattern and leave the markings out.

    Ether Flat Baits

all the baits you posted are very nice indeed
  12. I think you could get by with the revolution, I didn't see much difference between the two. I already had my brush so I felt kind of stupid. Have you looked at wildlife colors (taxidermy paint) by Smith Paints. It sprays super smooth thru my brush with the .35mm tip.
  13. I use balsa wood for everything I build. Just make sure to seal the wood very well and a good top coat. I use them in lakes and rivers, smallmouth like alot.

    deep divers

Here are a couple that will get down and dirty.
  15. the eclipse has two different needle sizes depending on if it is syphon (.5mm) or gravity feed (.35mm). I have both and will not give up my gravity feed brush for anything. Your other choice will be which size cup on a gravity feed and I like the larger cup size.
  16. I make a lot of baits that are 1.5 inches long and weigh in the 1/8oz range. I've got some that will dive 6-8 feet on 4lb line. I've got a couple of customers that love to hit the trout water with these little baits.

Another batch off the drying wheel.

    Yellow & Blue Back Peanut

Go to Mcmaster Carr.com and order some 18 and 20 gage stainless steel wire and some 18 gage brass wire. These come in 1/4lb spools and that will last you a long time. I used some that wire you have and I was tuning the bait after two small fish and the line tie broke off. I can also walk you thru replacing the line ties on those baits if you want me to. Just send me a PM.

    Yellow & Blue Back Peanut

All three of you baits look great. Is that copper wire from Wal-mart? If so it won't hold up and will break.

    new balsa

2 Hedd Hunter copies, 1 Big O style, 1 little flat side
  22. I prefer the taxidermy paints by Smith Paint (wildlife colors).

    Shellcracker

My picture taking sucks as well, no help with that. But I am really impressed how you painting has been improving over the last few months. Your paint patterns are really impressive.
  24. I use windex to clean and I run 1 cup of windex thru the brush and then a little windex with hand over the cup and shake. I usually paint 3-4 baits using that method of cleaning, then take the needle out and flush the brush with windex.
  25. Kb, I would cut the original weight by 1/3 and make a trial bait with that.
