I made an aluminum block, attached it to the bottom of the mold and cut out the shape of the hook in it. This works for me. It's time consuming to get it set up, but the hooks are always in the same place. Just make sure you get the hook where you want it the first time.

What is the trick to painting spinner baits with Cretex? When I try in wants to bead up like water on a waxed car. I have been using vinyl and I like it. I dont like the fumes or the limited colors. The Cretex is just more available and comes in more colors. Your input is apprecieated. Thank you

If the mold is not vented you may have to add vents to allow the lead to flow into the mold. I had to do this to the spin jig mold to get it to pour. The smoke helps too.

Can I use lacquer thinner to thin the vinyl paints or do I have to use the vinyl thinner? Thanks in advance
