Feasting my eyes on your handy work is more than enough thanks for me. Keep them coming.

    sealing

They really don't require sealing as they are close celled and don't absorb water. I do clean them really well, removing any trace of mold release and give them a base coat of plastic dip until I have a smooth finish to apply paint/foil or photo.

    Maple and Foil

Simply Irresistible! Do you have a full body shot?
  6. Yes, You can cast them in, if they're encapsulated, or put them in as you would, in wood.
  7. The heaviest wt foam, 15 or 16 lb density and something with a 60 lb shore hardness for the mold. Get a good spray release. Smooth-On recommends 40 lb Silicone RTV and EZ Release 2831 for casting foam and as a parting agent for making the mold..
  8. Supplie can be had HERE or or @ Smooth-on.com.
  9. Yeah, there was a 10 Minute stretch back in '82! Actually, I didn't enjoy making jigs commercially. I never seemed to catch up and the day was long.
  10. Absolutely. Curiosity got the better of me. I'm looking forward to the "Unveiling."
  11. For Sure! I thought I heard, a while ago, that he had something in the works. I was just curious as to the progress of the deal. As for his work, I'd put it against anyones, anywhere. Can you imagine what he could do if lure building was all he had to focus on, or if he could stay sober:lol:?
  12. So, the deal is a "No Go"? No Matter, your stuff is as good as it gets, ANYWHERE!

    3.3 OZ Saltwater Squids.

One is foiled with an Epoxy Top Coat. Appx. 5" They can be Jigged or Cast. They have taken Yellow Fin Tuna, Bonito, Blues and Stripers.

  15. With your commercial venture? I'm anxious for an update, Mr. Bollywood. I want to be able to say I knew "LaPala the Great lure designer" when he was LaPicky on the TU baoard.
  16. If you measure the volume of your mold's cavity, the cost in foam would be appx. 15 cents. Remember foam expands so the volume of half your cavity is the a little more than amt needed.
  17. Another Briney Beauty! Too bad you'll throw it where the Blues will mash it! Welcome and Kudos, also. You'll find a lot of old friends and a liberal linking policy here.
  18. Welcome and Kudos!! There are many SOL commuters here. Now that you've given the scaling a shot, would you consider a photo over foil bait? FF described the process in his tutorial thread. Yours is the first turned bait I've seen done this way and would love to see a "Roundie" with the photo/foil treatment. most are done on flat sided baits. I can Email you a tutorial on the process as this site melted down and all photos were lost. Jerry's been working like a dog to restore some of the old tutorials but it will take a long while. Here's an unfinished Proto. What are the dimensions/wt.? Mike P

Coley strikes again. The work is excellent as always. You've mastered the Alumilite.
  20. Obrigado! Very nice. I look forward to casting one of those with you, for some Pea####, next year
  21. Holy Too Many Thumbnails Batman!! THE MOLD IN THE PIC IS COLEY'S. Sorry, EC, I pulled that Pic out of the vault, thinking it was a Poe Mold I'd made. No slight intended. I thought it was this one; I'm editing the other post, right now. (TOO late, the edit function is no longer available.)
  22. Remember that old song, " Are you going to San Francisco?" I don't know why that popped into my head, but I had to ask.

  24. Spray Caps that turn Rattle cans to become adjustable spray mediums. Here you go. I don't know where I saw the info that linked this to me but it was either here or on SOL.

Someone Told me about caps for spray cans that allow you to do many different patterns from a can. Here's one site.
