  1. Got mine today! Now if I can find the time to use 'em. Thanks everyone
  2. Biggest I've seen is a size 8 (~3 1/2") from Lake Land. a 5' is a huge spinner blade.
  3. Mine are going out in the morning, my friend caught a 6# bass on it yesterday. I hope they do the same for all of you.
  4. Does anyone else use these in size 3/0? I'm looking at placing a special order from the company in SeaGuard RED. PM me if you might be interested.
  5. I look forward to hearing what you think. It's a little expensive, but its the only crab oil I've seen. Did you get the oil or powder?
  6. Has anyone used this product? (Shredder Crab Oil)
  7. I'll be sending mine out the end of the week as well. I can't wait to see what everyone else is doing.
  8. I just experiemented with dipping them with the spike-it and have noticed it chips off real easy anywhere contact is made. Also, soft plastics dissolve it. Back to the drawing board....
  9. I'd like to join in if there's still room.
  10. I saw the other past on this but, does anyone have plans/instructions to make their own Fluid bed for powder paint? I haven't seen one up close, but they just look like a chamber to allow air through the bottom of the paint. Seems like you could just rig up an air chamber and create your own size one. I was thinking that a coffee filter may even work as the membrane for air to pass through. I'm just curious if anyone has tried this.

    lead

If you're making larger jigs or weights, a free source is tire shops alot of times they will give you old wheel weights in exchange for a few weights or jigs. The bad thing is the lead is hard and makes a smokey mess. I started using lead from a metal recycling center. just look in the phone book under Scrap metals or Junk dealers and call around until you find someone who has what you want. I also think Stamina sells 1# ingots via mail order.
  12. That's funny cause the stuff I sent 1st class got there in 3 days and the priority mail took 15. I sent some packs of lures monday to south Florida and they were there X-mas Eve, but the priority mail I sent last week to TX still isn't.
  13. I had this problem shipping earlier this month. Priority mail Florida to Texas took 15 days and 6-7 days to S.C. They arrived just about the time I was going to re-ship.
  14. Personally, I would lean towards 6 flies per clam shell if those are the only choices (4,6,12) Those things (clam shells) are expensive. I would think you could go with 25 for the beads etc as plastic bags are only a few pennies each and I like to break up small parts when using them. ( If my kids get in a bag of 25 instead of 100 I'm much happier) just my 2 cents good luck!
  15. This may be late, but the day after i set up my site same thing happpened. The scam is they always ask for high end reels too. Be careful. or These are a few I still had in the in-box.
  16. Thanks, I checked out the link, Does anyone make crab scent?
  17. Where do you get the Pro-cure? Also, who has the best supplies ( I use both retailers and wholesale suppliers) Soft plastics is going to be for personal use, I just love it when someone asks where they can buy something I'm using and I can say "Oh, I made It"
  18. Sounds like a great idea to me, but then I'm trying to make chartreuse live shrimp BTW: couldn't resist, that's what I call a "betta" test Bum, I sent you a pm.
  19. I was thinking that might be a problem, that's why I was wondering about using the Glory-hole dry chum or Purina Fish Chow. Fish Chow is a popular chum in saltwater here, I was thinking it might hold up with the heat. I'll be getting a few basic supplies soon and will post back how it works out. I'm trying to get a better version of the Exudes. Bum, What about creating a pocket in the center and filling it with an attractant? Kindda like the pocket for a weight on the DOA shrimp.
  20. LOL I keep eyeing my son's fish tank
  21. What about freeze dried shrimp? Pet stores have krill that's freeze dried. I'm not really worryed about mass producing......... well maybe
  22. Yea, I was joking, but that's exactly what I'm working on. Be happy to share notes with you, we'll have to see what we can come up with. I know I'll be able to figue something out, fish change colors based on their enviroment all the time (just need to create a chartreuse one ) I checked you site, nice. May have some questions for you since I'm saltwater & you're fresh.
  23. Dang, I guess I'll need to kick my experiements into high gear then.
  24. Okay, if you read my first post you have already figued out I may be a little off..... Has anyone tried mixing something like Glory-hole dry chum or Purina Fish Chow in with their soft plastics? I fish mostly saltwater and would like to make grubs/shrimp that leave a excellent scent trail. Thanks
  25. LOL, Well......... I got the idea from I think Cabela's they had some dyed nightcrawlers. It got me to thinking, why not make a dye that you could color dead or alive baits in. That's when I tried food coloring but had to really dump a ton in but does work on dead bait okay but is limited in choices I've been looking for something to color shrimp/ minnows and trolling baits really bright colors. I'll let you know how the rit dye does with both.
