  2. I will be the first to admit, I didn't know the name of the bait. However, I was confident it was a early pfeffer bait. If it is, in fact, a sunfish several collector sites could benefit from a clarification. I will post one here in awhile, have to locate and take a picture Here you go!
  3. Is it a early Jim pfeffer bait?
  4. Good job! Mallard. Your play!
  5. Here is one for you! Not often seen and expensive to own.
  6. The finally judge of your efforts and which appear to be well recieved! Nice fish and a fine plug!
  7. A good method to help you learn how to perfect blending, fading or feathering paint is to paint a square piece of metal or other suitable material black. Then take white paint and start in one of the corners and paint it solid. Then start blending the white towards the other corner. The idea is that when you're done a solid black corner and a solid white corner with no obvious transitional line from black to white in between. Once you can accomplish the rest is down hill!
  8. The pitch of the props are opposite of one another!
  9. You shouldn't have any problems shooting clear automotive 2-part urethane clear over lacquer paint. There can be issues if dipping in uv cured urethane as described by Tim Hughes and there was a specific clearcoat applied to deal with that problem. I think it was a PPG product also known as ditzler. All the major automotive paint makers have a comprable product if it is unavailable at your locale
  10. Bruce, I hope you realize forgetting to wear your TU cap and shirt for such a momentous occasion is going to make reaching Super Moderator status again extremely difficult! Nice Fish!!
  11. Nathan, sound interesting, I wonder if the statement: held in place by undercuts. Is indicating the bonding strength is not that good?
  12. Down River, Do you have any experience with nylonic polomer? And if so, in your opinion how does it stack up against the several recently mentioned clearcoats used for lures, if you would be so kind to share. Regards Dan
  13. Yes! I don't blame you Pete!
  14. One thing for certain, you can still find your oh so fashionable pink footwear
  15. How would you prevent the dowel from wearing the finish down and swelling. Which would bind the rotation.
  16. Sound as if you are shooting a too high of pressure, which results in too much overspray
  17. Rookie really shines in the free style straw method
  18. Red, I think philb, is implying the air migrated out from beneath the eye. Which originated from the hole drilled for the eye post. Which could have possibly been prevented if the hole would have been sealed with epoxy when attaching the eye. Little late with this post Nice job of explaining yourself Philb
  19. Yes finger nail polish will work good and you can thin most of it with lacquer thinner. Cheap way to get pearl colors that you don't need much of! I have known several bike painters that have used it over the years to avoid buying an expensive pint of paint for small details on one job!
  20. That can't be cheap! He might try swapping the the wires to get the the forward speeds at the cost of sacrificing the reverse
