  1. Yes, if it operates in high humidity a trap will stop the water and some of the oil. Coalescing filter will catch the oil.
  2. Moisture trap does what the name implies and doesn't impact the spraying, other than removes the moisture from the air' Some regulators have an addition outlet (threaded hole with plug)that is the tank pressure. If your regulator does have an additional outlet, that is where you can attach another regulator and trap. You would set this regulator to the upper limit of what would be used while airbrushing maybe a little higher if you have a long hose. If your regulator doesn't have an additional outlet you will have to place T fitting in the line running from the tank to the existing regulator. If you want a dedicated line to provide pressure for the airbrush.Which operates independently from the existing regulator
  3. Anybody heard of these? Asian carp shoots. The benefits are two-fold, insomuch as it helps to eliminate the evasive species and provides the angler/hunter practice before gun season. Carp shoots, are similar to trap shooting. Shooter is stationed at the rear of the boat as it travels through the infested waters shooting the carp as they become airborne. Safety and environmental concerns have been addressed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all the participants and spectators alike. No lead shot! Boat is required to have shielding to prevent injury to the pilot and shooter from jumping carp. The safety provided by the shielding lessens the probability of an accidental discharge and personal injury. Carp shoots challenge the beginner and seasoned pro. By offering different levels of skill to compete within. The competition levels are defined by the speed at which the boat travels through the water. There is an extreme class for those who have demonstrate a proficiency in scoring with a single ballistic firearm.
  4. I have read some where that tou can take old cork and sand it to produce a filler that you add to the glue, epoxy or whatever is the used to bind it together and make a putty. I can't say for sure what was used for glue, however it might be worth the experimenting with to produce a more realistic looking repair.
  5. Check the rods for champion rod handles you might be surprised what they fetch on ebay.

    Tangerine Shad Glider

    Some super fine detail, Nice!
  7. Yes, I did forget about your flyrod adventure with catfish. Gene did offer you some good advice on the flyrod fishing for cats. However, he didn't mention his real secret. That being his abillity to custom cutting a hot dog in a manner that creates a action catfish find irresistable. He is so willing to share, but won't budge on that.
  8. Yes there are plenty of people here in the states who use live bait and real critters. In Florida they once used large shiners( a type of minnow) to fish for bass, I don't know if that is still is the case or not. The nightcrawler worm has caught about every variety of freshwater fish you can think of and many people still fish with them. When anglers here fish for catfish they almost exclusively use dead bait, live bait or a prepared bait. I couldn't give you a percentage but I bet there are plenty of Muskie fisherman who use live bait, Spike might better answer that question. I guess most consider it more of a challenge to catch a fish with a artificial bait. Yes, we are privileged to have so many resources at our disposal.
  9. Since many new members inquire where to purchase basic componets, blanks, wood stock and such. And ultimately are directed to online sources. Why not offer a starter kit with or without a basic E-book that takes the builder from start to completion. The kit would contain everything needed with the exception of readily available materials sold at retail stores: Paint, Devcon...etc.. There is only one tutorial posted on the site that takes lure construction from raw wood to completion. The e-book could also contain some of the tutorials that are in pdf format to give alternate methods and techniques of construction. This idea might apply to the other types of baits also. Judging by the volume of questions posted by new members who are reluctant for whatever reason to search the wealth of information contained within the forum posts. Perhaps a starter kit and e-book would offer a convenience in which some would willing spend the money for if reasonably priced. It won't solve all the problems, but it could help. I have my doubts about the discount for existing members as being fair to the community as a whole. This seems to stack the deck against a new member with applicable knowledge and whom is willing to share. What incentive is there for knowledgeable new member to contribute if the reward is paying the same fee as a new member who doesn't contribute at all or to lesser degree.
  10. I don't know what your mainline pressure from you compressor is. But most are in the range of 90-110 regulated. I wouldn't subject the airbrush to that much pressure. I would get a inexpensive regulator and take off from the mainline, and set this regulator to the upper limit you would use to airbrush 50-60.
  11. Spike I wondered about that myself. However I used to cut firewood deep in the woods and there were plenty of times I would notice deer standing near watching. It wasn't close to deer season though.

I have used the stainless cotter pins and wire formed in the fashion described by Gene (Lincoya) and never had any fail.
  13. The lemon slice I suppose could knock the head down on the beer or cover up something less palatable.
  14. The local breweries are making a comeback here! The were virtually all gone after that wonderful time in American history known as prohibition had come to pass. The large breweries began a campaign of rapid expansion aided by the advent of refrigerated freight cars and all but crushed the littlle breweries. I don't think I have met a German beer I didn't like. Some better that others!
  15. Reinheitsgebot I believe they have relaxed the law for beers brewed for export.
  16. The Tackle shop is good idea! But I have to wonder if revamping the classified section first wouldn't be a more cost effective approach during the interm. It seems to me that there would have to be significantly more traffic driven to this site before a tacklestore would be successful.
  17. No problem here! It's a done deal. Sorry that I have caused such disruption over an innocuous image.
  18. They make a vast assortment of expanding fasteners that tighten up in the hole with the aid of a tool or bolt.
  19. In an effort to be fair. I searched for the image online. It was at Military News Military History Military PHOTO VIDEO under the joke section. So perhaps it was intended to be a joke. However, the page was devoid of any commentary regarding the numerous other means the terrorist have employed to snuff out a soldier. So I will take it as such and if I have caused harm to you, Ghost please accept my apology.
  20. There wouldn't need to be a publisher the information could be sold as an E-book. That idea might have legs,PB.
  21. You probally meant no harm when posting that picture. But think about it! What humor is there in the fact people are dying daily or left less than whole for the rest of their life as a result of the conflict in Iraq. That picture casts American servicemen in a bad light, suggesting they are something lesser than human. Driven by instinctual behaviour which they have no power over. I am sure a moderator will delete it shortly
