  1. Here is a picture of the Dyna-Mite lure, neat box! The next two: For those who haven't won before I only need you to name one. For previous winners and those elements of conspiring nature, both names!
  2. Do you want hard one, or one that is relatively easy?
  3. Could be a water slide decal under the clear or over. There is another way that it is done that I am aware of. Hot foil used in conjuction with a vulcanising machine and typeset. Kingsley made a machine to print with hot foil on greeting cards, pens and about anything you get under the press. Check them out on ebay might work great for you. Could be a military type stencil also Creek Chub lures used military stencils early on, and the foil later. I am sure there are other ways also, that I am unaware of. That someone else might come along with
  4. I believe they are refering to Micro Balloons, Pete. Added to resin when casting to give the lure more bouyancy
  5. Many reels will benefit from a lapping of the gears and surfaces that wear against each other. If a bearing is severly pitted as a result of oxidation, lapping is a stop gap measure and the bearing will continue to degrade. However, it will remove congealed greese or oil from the bearing and race. You would grow tired of lapping before you would incurr significant wear to the bearing using a fine compound. You can think of it as trying to rub by hand the chrome off a auto bumper with polishing compound, yes it could be done!
  6. Partially correct Vodkaman!
  7. Clemmy did you know it right off, or do some digging?
  8. Here is a hint: This rights to this lure or the company that made them was purchased at some point by Paul Bunyan lure co.
  9. Sorry Palmetto, not a Layfield or Sunnybrook.
  10. Baits from previous post are: Top Bait: Popeye, Fetchi Lure Co. Bottom Bait: Top Kick, Miller Lure Co. The bait below was made in TX during the 50's a known good white bass lure. For those who have won before need the name and who made it. For all else the name alone.
  11. I am ready to move on to the next lure(s) if no one has a guess on the 2.
  12. That is exacly right Palmetto, The reason paint is used on the outside is because it is the mosy resistant to the elements and in most cases the most expensive. Your are not going to waterproof a lure by sealing, it aids in the application of the paint, insomuch as it reduces the amount needed and the coats required. If the paint is allowed to soak in by multiple dips it will strengthen the wood surface just as it will turn a brush stiff as a board.
  13. That jig is a good idea and I am sure you will work the bugs out.
  14. Should have added to my post that you would need to drill a hole in the turntable also.
  15. Hint both are Missouri made baits!
  16. If you could pre-drill the line tie holes. you could then pin the lip down. If the back edge of the lip is square and fits well into the fixture, it shouldn't slip. The holes drilled at the rear of the lip for epoxy might work also to secure the lip in the fixture.
  17. Slick rig there Pete
  18. I would hazzard a guess that one reason eyes are placed close together in the frontal area is: If in manufacture it is a hand operation without using a mask or template, it is easier to align the eyes when the are close together as opposed to one on each the side
  19. Palmetto It is more recent than those you mentioned and is constructed of plastic. The top bait is plastic also. Not a croaker, most of those are a frog skinned bait, they did make one with a side hooks that were painted!
  20. Cheese did you catch much with them? I never had much luck with two I have, both have worm tails. I placed them in the same slot in which the dance eels reside.
  21. I have used por15 rust treatment and it is a superior product. I had considered using pelucid on baits, but read on their site it was a interior product.
  22. Here you go! Name the bait, one your good, two your real good! If you have won before name both baits if not just name one
