    Jitterbugs

The early jitterbugs were made from cedar.
  2. Most of the time candy colors are sprayed over a reflective base. Silver or gold, some use white.
  3. Old pikie warrior revived to do battle again!
  4. Flattening agent is mixed with the paint/clearcoat to dull the finish. What I have used was intended for acrylic lacquers and enamels. I have no idea if something is on the market for the urethanes or waterbase. But I would bet there is something similar.
  5. I once constructed a lure with radius at the back of the lip with a small radiused slot that a pin rode in and functioned to keep the lip in the slot. This was done in attempt to produce a lure that would hunt. The action was somewhat dampened and on occassion it would hang on one side and dart in that direction. But alot to consider moss, line and other materials would eventualy work into the slot and prevent movement. I suppose if one was to experiment with the idea it might prove its worth
  6. Yes, what you describe is possible to achieve in theory. However, The vortices needed to develope the action you mention would be similar to aircraft wing vortices. The traditional crankbait lips generate vortices in which the orientation is dictated by gravity.
  7. Could be polyester resin, with such limited info it is guess work.
  8. Not a good choice for material for various reasons. In addition to those already mentioned, if you pour a solid block of bondo/ resin there will most likely be voids that you encounter as carving and to correct you will be required to fill sand. In effect, you're creating more work.
  9. As we had discussed earlier, I would like to handle the midwest distribution on that model and as soon as you get the demo up here, I can get to filling orders.
  10. JSC, If someone else doesn't post one here after a while I will throw another one up.
  11. Since you cry babies need a break! Berry Lebeck Co. Ozarka Lures The lure in question is a WEE-GEE. I will let some one else have a go at posting a lure!
  12. Alright JSC, It is a Missouri bait that hasn't been made in over 50 yrs.
  13. Impressive work Kajan!
  14. You might also investigate some of robotic parts suppliers Could be as simple as magnetic coupling provided it will stay coupled during initial starting load when fully loaded with lures
  15. Sorry Diemai, no knock off! That plug was made in the late 40's or very early 50's company closed in 1951
  16. Don't know exactly what the lure holder comprise of. But you could easily fabricate something from a threaded pipe flange to attach to the board. A pic would help of your entire set-up.
  17. Sorry Dean, not a rinehart.
  18. Sorry Diemai, Not a millsite
  19. Sorry Nova, not a runt
  20. Here is a bait that might be easier to identify
  21. I have used bondo to repair damage on baits. But applying a thin even coat and sanding down so it is uniform all the way around would be a pain.
