  1. Very nice. They look a little like mirolures. Did you get your eyes from Lisa? www.novalures.com
  2. He's called Tubeman on here. Check members list; his website is there. www.novalures.com
  3. I use the cheapest super glue I can find.(get mine at the $ store) It may ruin the master if it's just plastic but you will have a mold to pour many more. Once I get the master mold done (sealed) I then pour out about 15 or 20 baits; pick the best 10 and make my main mold. I then put away the master mold and only use it when I want to make another pouring mold. www.novalures.com
  4. I make my pop completely by eye. I know what thickness I'm looking for(hard to discribe in words) and when I reach that I'm ready to pour. I heat my plastic the same way. In both cases there were some disasters I settled into a pattern. www.novalures.com
  5. What you can do is take the mold out before it dries completely; mix up a small amount of pop and fill the holes making sure it's smooth and level. Then just clean up the molds and seal them. The real trick is to get them without too many bubbles. Make sure the baits are flat to the bottom of the mold because the trapped air will rise out from under the baits. Also, it helps to coat the baits with the pop before you pour the rest in the mold. Another tip would be to not stir the pop any more than you need to mix it and allow the bubbles in the mixture time to rise to the surface where you can take care of them before you pour. www.novalures.com
  6. I use rubbing alcohol to thin mine. www.novalures.com
  7. Been getting it from US but Tubeman in Ont has some for sale since my last order. www.basmagnetlures.com www.novalures.com
  8. I understand what you're saying. Seems to me he should have just come out and asked you man to man instead of trying to impress you with his connections. This approach just semmed to complicate and confuse the issue. www.novalures.com
  9. I would suspect that anyone dealing in glitter will sell in bulk. I have bought from Senkosam and Lurecraft in the past and have no problem telling you they are both first rate. www.novalures.com
  10. You have to realize that a lot of us have had the "touch" put on us by lest than honest folks in the past. So you can't blame anyone here for being skeptical. You do have to admit that it seems a bit "off the wall" that a company with that type of background is asking for donations. Nova Lures
  11. There are more of us than you might think; lol. www.novalures.com

    Gotta love highlights. www.novalures.com
  13. I first saw it about 8 or 10 years ago. I bought some slug-o type baits from BPS. Never really caught much on them. They were quite a bit stiffer than the regular ones. At that point I lost interest in the concept. www.novalures.com
  14. The hologramic tape is made with mylar if I'm not mistaken. When you apply the hot plastic to it the mylar is just going to curl up. (haven't tried it but I'm pretty sure it will). If you want to try a test use Xmas wrapping. I'm not sure what they use for the inserts in soft plastic baits. www.novalures.com
  15. I know what it's like to be on a budget and I understand what you are saying. No disrespect was intended. When I started tying flies at 16 I had to use whatever I could get my hands on. It forces you to be really inventive. Maybe that's why; now 42 years later; I look at everything as potentially a shape or part for a new bait. I never liked to go shopping. I would know what I wanted and go get it and get out. Now I wander through stores looking at shapes; patterns and even colors. You never know when an idea will hit you. www.novalures.com

Going by the second picture I would sat black grape with gold glitter and a touch of blue highlight. You'll have to play around with how much black grape. www.novalures.com

  18. I made my BigHead worms with indented eyes which show up in the mold as protrusions. That may be what you are seeing in this case as well. It does play tricks on your eyes. www.novalures.com
  19. Thin the epoxy with alcohol (the rubbing kind). I use 99%. www.novalures.com

    Hello

Welcome Mike, from one Canuck to another. Anything you are interested in can be found with the search feature. That will get you in the right area. www.novalures.com
  22. Has anyone asked LC how they store it? What I mean is that they have to carry some stock so they must keep it in good condition somehow. I'm pretty sure they would pass that along to you guys. www.novalures.com
  23. The plaster has to be sealed well or you will get the bubbling. I seal my molds with epoxy thinned down with alcohol. At least 3 coats with drying in between in the oven at about 200 for 30 minutes. this will give you a glassy finish which iss very durable. www.novalures.com
  24. Hagen's are good people. I've dealt with them for many years. Never had a problem of any kind. www.novalures.com
  25. Exactly what I was going to say. A slight touch of white pearl on the belly would make that bait hum. Nova Lures
