  1. X-point used to say right on their ads;" too exspensive for most anglers". That'll give you a big clue;lol. www.novalures.com
  2. All you need is a pair of pliers and some rubber core sinkers. Take out the core and pinch them on any hook. www.novalures.com
  3. There are other brands making similar style hooks; but you must remember that you get what you pay for. (quality) www.novalures.com

    Oatmeal Boxes

Instead of using saran wrap on the oatmeal boxes; how about using the Elmer's glue wash a couple of coats? Seems to me that plastic wrap could cause wrinkle marks in the warm worms. Try saying "warm worms" 10 times fast; lol. www.novalures.com
  5. Was the guy in the plane? www.novalures.com
  6. A little cooler plastic should solve the problem. www.novalures.com
  7. Wouldn't the pressure be equal on all sides? If that is true it shouldn't have any effect on the worm. If it's going to float; it's going to float. www.novalures.com
  8. Happy birthday Dean. Didn't realize you were that old; lol. Hope you had lots of cake. www.novalures.com
  9. No problem, anytime. Glad to help. www.novalures.com
  10. All of my recipes are based on 4 oz of plastic. It's enough to get a few testing pours and yet it's not a big waste if it doesn't work out. You will have some ruined batches as you get going; but after a while you will be able to look at a color and come up with a mix which will be close enough to get you going in the right direction. www.novalures.com
  11. Gotta get em coming and going; lol. www.novalures.com
  12. It all depends on how many baits you want to make. As said before; a bottle can last a long time as you only use a few drops to get most of the colors you want to make. Start with the basics. Black; green pumpkin; pumpkinseed; watermelon; white; yellow; amber and/or oxblood; blue. www.novalures.com
  13. Welcome to the addiction. What you should do is figure out which colors you like to fish and start with those colors first. Check the sticky as well for recipies that you like; the colors will be listed there that you will need to make those colors. www.novalures.com
  14. Why not have 2 done; one for the back and one for above the pocket. The smaller one could also go on the hat. www.novalures.com
  15. Here you go. http://www.action-plastics.com/shads.html www.novalures.com
  16. Adding white to a color to "lighten" it is something we've all tried only to find out it doesn't work too well. If you want to lighten a color just double the amount of plastic in the recipe. To repeat the recipe just cut the number of drops of color in half and cut the plastic in half. www.novalures.com
  17. I've never tried it that way. I'll be interested to see how it comes out. What I meant was to butter the baits just before you pour the rest of the pop. Sorry for the confusion. www.novalures.com
  18. You set the hook;lol. www.novalures.com
  19. You could try to make another mold. This time before you pour the pop into the mold, butter the baits all over with the pop making sure you have no bubbles. www.novalures.com
  20. I could go for a light olive or even a beige. www.novalures.com
  21. If you are able to repeat the process, that's great. Now I think you're onto something. That certainly would be some of the highest floating jig critters out there. Good on you. www.novalures.com
  22. That looks really cool. There's only one thing wrong though. How are you going to repeat it? www.novalures.com
  23. 6602 looks good to me. www.novalures.com
  24. I just want to let everyone know that Lisa and Ed are some of the nicest folks I've ever delt with. www.novalures.com
