You have to remember that each microwave is different. It will take time; and unfortunately plastic; for you to get used to using your micro. Some micros are much more powerful than others. Make sure the micro you are using has a turntable and you must set the pyrex in the center to get even heat.

As you said an overcast day spreads them out. On those days you have to cover water with a spinnerbait of some kind. Sometimes we use large spinners(panthermartins or blue fox) The sizes that are used for salmon on the west coast. I prefer the dressed ones. Once you hit a bunch then slow down and fish your plastics. Flats with a drop off nearby are good places or large points.

Now that you have "oiled" the mold you may not get a good seal. The idea of sealing the POP is that the first couple of coats soak into the POP and the rest of the coats connect to the first two coats.
The problem with POP is that it will keep on drinking the oil no matter how much you put.

Try your basic white formula with white pearl and then add a very little touch of violet highlight or green highlight. You can even try a combo of both highlights; but don't over do it; you just want a hint of color to show depending on the light angle.

Don't know; what does Zoom's look like?
I don't worry too much about other company's colors unless I'm requested to do so by a customer. I prefer to contsruct my own colors and stay as unique/individual as possible. All of the colors you see from the "big" boys had to be constructed at some point, so why can't new colors be done by someone else is my theory.
One of the best colors I have come up with is the green smoke. This color catches fish in all colors of water. It's even done well in salt water.

There are several types of sand color out there. Some don't even look like sand. This is one time that you want the glitter to bleed just a little.

Nice looking baits. There is no easy way. You just practice and keep at it. You will develop a rythem as you go along and that's the best you can hope for. It takes about twice as long to pour laminates.

Actually; the boys did the sharpie thing some years ago. Not to burst your bubble, but if you do a search for "sharpie" you should find it.

It's called Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol.
The ratio depends on how thin you want to make the mixture. I mix the first coat rather thin to get penetration into the POP. After that coat is set up I make the mixture a little thicker but not much. I'd rather put 3 or 4 coats that 2 thick ones. If you mix it too thick you stand a chance of getting runs and this will ruin the mold.
Remember; quick is not always the best way.

Saint, I know about the cajuns/acadians. What part of the province are they from? Broussard sounds like New Brunswick and St Germain from the Valley area.
In any case, it's nice to find another Acadian on TU.

When you seal POP with epoxy you have to thin it down and you have to be patient. Take your time and apply several light coats allowing it to dry each time, until you get the finish you want.
I will put the mold in the oven each time on 150 for about 20 minutes to get it to dry quicker. Be careful not to leave it in too long or at too high a temp as this will cause the epoxy to boil before it sets. This will make bubbles.
I have never sanded a mold so I can't help you there.
I have used the glue thing but I didn't like it. It is quick and easy but I don't get the shiny finish I want.

Saint; there are a zillion colors out there. The point is where do you draw the line. I show baisic colors and a few "fancy" ones; then you say that custom pourings are available. Or you can say if you don't see a color you like here email me and I'll pour it for you. Something along those lines.
Those color charts consist of an awful lot of pictures and if you hire it out it can be expensive. I don't think I would download a chart from another site; that might get you into trouble.
