    New Bait..New Colors

Just designed a new bait. Thinking of calling it "Big Head Worm". It's 6 1/4" long. I think this would make a good shakey worm. Also been messing around with highlite again. www.novalures.com

    Is it O.K.

The one thing that's good about posting or showing your ideas here on TU is that it can be traced to time and date as well as many whitnisses. www.novalures.com

    Is it O.K.

We all do basically the same thing here. We invent baits, colors, procedures, etc. We have to respect each other's talents and ideas. If I see something that someone is doing and I think I can improve on it, then I will PM them and pass my thoughts on to them. If they use the or not; that's fine. But; I certainly would not want to see one of my lures or inventions show up on one of our member's website or hear that they were trying to pass it off as theirs.( you would hear about it from me forever) We are all members of a club and we should all act with fellowship toward each other. For the ones that don't; shame on you. If nothing else we should act somewhat ethically. www.novalures.com
  5. 99.9% of your supplies will come from the US. Don't get overwhelmed; just take things one step at a time. Do not expect to be a great pourer all at once. It won't happen. You are going to make mistakes and you are going to ruin material. It's just the way the learning curve goes. You can make molds from plaster or resin and several other materials. Plaster is the simplest to start with and the cheapest. As far as the unique ideas we've all had them only to find out someone else a long time ago did it. But don't let that stop you. You may very well have the next great idea for a new bait.(not a joke) Glad to see another Canuck on here; welcome. If I can help; just ask. www.novalures.com
  6. Now that sounds interesting. www.novalures.com
  7. Like Chris said. And it's all about a steady hand and practice, practice, practice. A lot of newbies to pouring are surprised when they can't pour perfectly the first time. Some guys even quit trying. But the ones who stick with it will eventually produce some nice looking baits. Don't give up just keep trying. You didn't give up sex after the first time;lol. www.novalures.com

    Maple and Foil

    Very nice detail work. www.novalures.com
  9. A lot of guys up here just simply dead stick them. www.novalures.com
  10. Take a small "hot" needle and burn holes right through the gluestick and then use the color making sure the holes have color in them. Maybe dipping dye would work as well. www.novalures.com

    POP molds

Just use large hand spring clamps. Easy on and easy off. www.novalures.com
  13. What about "coloring" the glue stick with permanent marker before you melt it in the mold. Should give a swirl effect or maybe not. Just a thought. www.novalures.com
  14. Terry I would think that if you name your bait company as a division of your present company you should be able to operate under your present certificate. But then; I'm not a lawyer and I'm only thinking logically, lol, so I could be wrong. If your government is anything like mine and they have a chance to put another hand in your pockets, they will do it. I would suggest that you ask your present accountant to be sure. www.novalures.com
  15. The thing of it is; it's all up to you how much of anything to add. The scents are usually concentrated so you won't need a lot. As far as salt goes, it depends on the sink-rate you are looking for. I use about 40% salt by volumn. www.novalures.com

  21. POP will dispurse the heat a lot quicker than aluminum. www.novalures.com
  22. You're entirely welcome Joe. Thank you. www.novalures.com
  23. The red highlite should do that for as it has sort of a metallic hue to it and if you add a touch of red paint to it it may be even better. www.novalures.com
  24. I don't make hardbaits any more but I was thinking of this the other day. If you use the pearl powders or hightlite powders it should have a neat effect. www.novalures.com
  25. It's the stuff they make wedding veils out of. Not sure what it's called but it's cheap. www.novalures.com
