  1. Welcome aboard Aaron! Lookin' forward to seein' some of your creations. :-)
  2. Holly Mackerel there Senkosam, Those lures are just beautiful! What a masterful job you've done there my friend. I'll put money on that bait over any and all others I've used or seen before. Sound a little uppity? Hey dude, I've lost track of how many fish I've caught on the Firetiger pattern since I started using it over a quarter of a century ago, when it first came out. You might say my confidence is high when tossin' that color around. :-) I KNOW that your slinky, slippery, slimy, seductive lookin' Senko knock-off will KILL! Thanks for posting!
  3. Howdy there guys, I was just wondering if there is anyone in here from Ontario? I live in Ottawa and would like to go fishing with a few other guys so we could exchange fishing ideas etc and have ourselves a good day's fishing and NOT always be spending it alone every time. Hopefully someone in here wants to fish with a pretty competent fisherman, or perhaps knows somebody who wants to go fishing in Ottawa with a gung-ho fishin' dude. Later boys,
  4. Wow! Just visited your real nice site. Your illustrations are TOO COOL! They sure seem to be real lures or at least real pictures of real lures. Your displays of skills and knowledge and sharp ideas are excellent. I'll be back. lb http://larrybass.tripod.com/Fishing.html''>http://larrybass.tripod.com/Fishing.html' rel="external nofollow">'>http://larrybass.tripod.com/Fishing.html

  6. Hey boys, Where do I find more info about this kool lookin' spoon type hybrid shown in the gallery box? I checked the other gallerys. Everything but spoons. Help... lb :
  7. Hey boys, I just joined and already learned one of the koolest tackle tricks I've seen in a good while, right here. I've got both, the pen and the needle nose and will build a few tonight while this hot idea is still fresh in my mind. That's one of the problems with gettin' older. I still have a great memory, it's just a lot shorter now. Thanx for the neat posts boys, you guys are what make this place as good as it is. Have a Super day... lb
  8. Hi there, First off, I'd like to thank Funny Farm, for making this fantastic board available to fishermen everywhere. Second, I want to say, WOW! What a powerful resource pool for tackle builders this place is. Such active, and obviously, very sharing type members, are certainly very refreshing and so nice to see in this very much, gone business, busy world of the new millenium where folks don't even say hi on the streets anymore. I look forward to spending a fair amount of time in here. Well, at least until the water goes from white and hard, back to soft and blue, anyways. Have a good one... lb
  9. Hey there boys, I'm new in here but I couldn't resist putting in my 2 cents worth. Fishing lures and the tax man and the interpretation of ALL his rules, which of course, are designed to snuff out the little guys like us, is mostly why I have never done a lot of commercial selling of tackle. I got a large charge outta Wire benders post! It was very near my own experience, back in the past when I did make an attempt to please the tax collectors with my budding "jig business". A decade later my next peek at the tackle marketing world, was at a small local flea market, where I charged no taxes what so ever and like at least 70% of the other dealers there, we didn't even report the little bit of income we came away with by the end of the day. I can only say that from that additional experience, I figure Canadians must be a little more inclined to moonlight, owlhoot, sell without permits, etc. I know a bunch of good folks who run a yard or garage sale a couple of times during the summer and NONE of them declare any of the little bit of earnings made. If this offends any of you, I'm sorry. Contrary to what you may think, we are not crooks, trying to rip off the poor government! We are simply the little people, who are attempting to ply our small trade in our small circles, hurting nobody in the process and helping many. The dorky tax collectors should not even begin to question you on ittsy bittsy little one man operations where it's impossible to figure costs accurately for threads, hairs, feathers or whatever the little man needs to operate his little passion. Being Canadian may not be as warm as most of you folks are there in the USA but I like the fact that we still do have a bit of a free rein left in the "Little Guy Tackle Manufacturing/Marketing" field in this vast country, and it helps that we are a little bit ballsy too, as they say. There are many wealthy folks out there that will tell you that life in general is based on risks. We Canuks generally, like to live a little. Even if it means having to side-step the BRILLIANT and totally unfair and demanding rulers, of our fine country, once in awhile, in our own unobtrusive and beneficial to all concerned, little ways... P.S. Man, I love this board... lb http://larrybass.bravepages.com/Fishing.htm
