  3. I have (3) 5" open pour swimbait molds made by Basstackle for sale. These are very easy to pour multiple color baits and have an amazing swimming action. I have closed my business, so I am starting to sell off my molds. These retailed for $100. $85 each shipped, or $240 for all of them. Here is a picture of some finished baits out of these molds.
  4. I like the 7'3" Kistler Magnesium Small Swimbait rod. It is sweet!
  5. I too have thought about doing this, but I don't have a clue on how to go about putting a video on my site. I am a full blown idiot when it comes to web design
  6. Thanks, maybe I will give that color a try. Mine is L.C. colorant, so I will try the M-F brand.
  7. Anyone else on here have a problem with chartreuse coloring bleeding really bad? I made up some swimmers in a sexy shad type pattern and two weeks later, the thin chartreuse line has completely taken over the pearl belly. I now have chartreuse swimbaits. I am glad I caught this before I put them in any stores. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

    3d Eyes

3/8" or I believe it is 9.5mm is a popular size for a few of the swimbait molds out there. The 5" open pour from Bob's takes this size, and it is an awesome mold.
  9. Where are you getting your eyes from? I haven't used red eyes yet, but am wondering if it is just the eyes from your source. I might try a different company and see if that helps.
  10. That is cool. I have noticed that I really only seem to get better results with 2 baits. All of the others seem to be better with no salt. That is why this sport is so awesome! Day to day, lake to lake things can be different. Makes a guy realize he shouldn't be afraid to try something new and change things up.
  11. Thanks. They would look great with one of your 4" Grubs on there
  12. I actually found that you want to add just a little salt into the baits to make them more neutral in buouncy. I like my baits when fishing a drop shot to be horizontal in the water. My buddy was out catching me probably 4 or 5 to 1 one day dropshotting small lizards. We couldn't figure out why. He was using Zoom and I was using my own. The colors were almost identical, but after figuring it out, we found that his lizard was sitting different in the water. Once I started pouring them with a small amount of salt, fish production got way better. I have found the same with my drophot bait called the Money Shot. It just seems to catch more fish when sitting horizontal instead of tail floating way up. Just my 2 cents.
  13. The 5" open pour takes a 3/8" eye. Not sure about the other. I would email him to ask just so you get the right ones.
  14. I started using the clear plastic paint from lurecraft. I brush some on the eye socket first, let it dry, then add a drop of super glue and put the eye on it. Finally I brush a heavy coat over the entire eye. It ends up looking very good. The clear paint dries clear.
  15. I got my molds yesterday also. Super fast shipping. I got some more swimbait and stick molds. Is this Bobs son? I just figured it was.
  16. The way I look at it is that Paypal gives us another option for easy payment. The fees are just one of those things you have to live with. I looked into credit cards, and those fees were ridiculous to say the least. I don't charge extra for using paypal. I just chalk it up to cost of doing business. I would rather sell something and be out of a buck or two, than to not sell the item at all, or wait a week to get a check or money order in the mail.
  17. Hey guys, I have 3 molds I am wanting to get rid of. They are as follows: 1- 5" top pour swimbait from Bob's. This mold is brand new, never used. Retail $100. $90 TYD 1- 6" stik bait mold ( 4 cavity) Retail $65. $55 TYD 1- 4.25" (7 cavity) stick mold from Del. Retail $118. $90 TYD.
  18. Good idea, but I think the materials those are made of would melt when full of hot plastic. The ones we use are aluminum.
  19. Thanks. Yes it is a custom I had Bob do for me. It is just my play on the cross tail shad by Jackall.
  20. Sorry to see you hanging it up. You have been a great contributor to this site for a long time. I wish I would have seen those crazy craws earlier
  21. My Money Shot minnow. (drop shot bait)
  22. If you are just starting to sell, then I recommend getting them from L.C. If you need larger quantities, then I would get them from Johnson Bag Co. You can get 1000 ct packs for a better price. They are top notch laminated bags.
  23. I use Upper Hand Scent's coffee/shad scent. It is great to add to your heated plastic and is very strong. Only add a drop or two to light colored plastic, or it will darken your color. He also had a shad/coffee scent that is more shad than coffee. Great scents, give them a try.
  24. I started using a heavy coat of clear soft plastic paint from Lure Craft and it seems to work very well.
