  1. Watermelonseed or black for largemouth and my Roadkill Craw( roadkill with black and orange flake) for smallies.
  2. sro114 is right on the money with Upperhand Scents. Doug is a great guy to deal with. Their scents are top notch. I put them in my plastic and add a few drops to the bag. Best stuff out there IMO.
  3. I wasn't aware of the different size spouts either. I haven't actually bought any new cups in a few years. Thanks for the heads up.
  4. Does anyone on here make this bait? I would love to buy a pack to see if this is something I want to start pouring or not. Thanks. D.J.
  5. If it looks anything like mine, you would swear a grenade went off!
  6. They both have great colors, as does M-F. Certain colors might be better from a certain company, but this is a preference thing. I use mainly L.C. and M-F colorants, but I have heard Del has some really great colors also that I will try in the future. You only need a few basic colors to get any of the three different companies colors to match up pretty close. An example is Green Pumpkin, which is a favorite to many. One companies might be a little more of a green shade, and one might be a little more on the brown side. If you have watermelon and brown( 2 must have colors IMO) you can match any of these up to what you are needing. I hope this makes sense.
  7. I used to pour them with Del's mold. I used to get my skirts for getbitlures.com. I am not sure if he is still making them or not. They were easy to make, they just took more time than I liked, so they were not very practical for production work. I used a soldering iron I bought at Home Depot. If you can find a flat blade, it is really easy to attach the skirts. Just run the bait down one side, and the skirt down the other and they melt together very nicely. Hope this helps. One more thing, Del's mold is dead on as far as a Fat Ika copy. Really good mold and easy to pour.
  8. The same goes for me. Have a great and safe holiday everyone.
  9. I have to back out too. I also have had some personal issues come up that require my immediate attention. If it is too late to back out, I will try to get some pouring in if I can. I hate to back out, but I don't really have much choice at this time. Hopefully I can get into the next go around for sure. Sorry again.

    Website Help

I was wondering if anyone of you computer gurus could possible help me out. I am trying to get my website re done and am having problems loading the shopping cart onto my server. I am an idiot when it comes to website stuff. I currently use OS Commerce, but am trying to switch to Zen Cart. I bought a cheap website builder called Web Easy 6 to re do the front pages of my site. I fooled around with it and was able to make a few simple pages that I like. The ones I have on my site now, I am not happy with. I just want it to be easy to navigate through. So if someone out there knows how to load my cart onto my server (Jaguar), I would be more than willing to pay you or give you a bunch of baits. Thanks. D.J. West Coast Custom Tackle
  11. Count me in:) Sounds like a lot of fun.
  12. Hate to see you hang it up. I know how it can be though. Just wanted to say thanks for helping myself and others in the years past.
  13. He changed all of his names and descriptions today. That was a wise move I believe.
  14. Another thing is his colors that are offered. They don't match Yamamoto's or Reaction Innovations.
  15. I'm not sure, because he offers everything in different scents. Unless he adds scent to the bags of Yamamoto. Plus he offers it in 25 and 50 packs.
  16. I was on Del's site and was directed to a guy that has one of his "Thing" molds. http://www.vendettalures.com It looks like he is claiming they are yamamoto products! Am I crazy or is he actually calling his hand pour stuff, a senko, swimming senko, sweet beaver and flappin hog?
  17. Nova is right on with his recipe. This is a great color.
  18. The Tournament scent is more like a powerbait type smell. It is good scent.
  19. Use brown and red. Go very light on the brown and then add just 1 or two drops of red. I use L.C. colorants on this color.

    Tax question

I was hoping somebody on here can help me out. Can I write off my new boat as a business expense? I have heard both ways on this. Some people have told me I can because I use my boat for advertising and for product testing purposes. I think I am going to break down and go to an accountant this year because I hate dealing with tax stuff:mad: Thanks. D.J.

    Scent

I just got a sample of the "oil". It is awesome. It doesn't run me out of my garage like the thicker stuff did, but it cooks in well and my baits are very potent. Great stuff:)
  23. Jeff, I have to say, your skirts are by far the best out there. That is a pretty cool color combo. I might have to think about carrying something along those lines. I tank tested my ikas with your skirts, and the action is unreal. Those tentacles really scream out crawfish.

    Scent

To say your scent is strong, is an understatement! I ordered a large bottle a while back, in the "Hawg Sauce" flavor, and I can't hardly stand to be in my garage when I pour baits:lol: I have a 3 bay garage, and I have my shop set up in the 3rd and farthest bay from the rest of my house. The scent actually makes it into the house:eek: It is great stuff, but I am going to have to figure something else out until I can get my shop built. I currently use a mixture of a couple of L.C. scents that has worked extremely well. If I put it in right before I pour, it stays in the plastic and has a strong odor. I would really prefer to use the Hawg Sauce though for my production stuff. For my personal stuff, I pour 30-40 baits of the same color and put them into a coffee can and add a several drops of the hawg sauce. Then I bag them up after several days and they have a nice stink to them.
